Did anyone else feel the TD in the 5th is what won Rose the fight?

Forget about the judges scorecards for a second, I want to know how you guys were scoring the fight going into the 5th round.
I had scored the 1st and 2nd for Rose. And the 3rd and 4th for JJ. How did you guys score it?

Both were landing in the 5th round and I felt it could've gone either way.... until Rose secured that takedown and was able to edge it out.

Thoughts?

100% takedown won the fight IMO

Edit: what a great fight. I.pressed with them both, first two rounds Rose, next two for Joanna - take.doen cemented a close fifth.

Think we'll see them bang it out again the future

Rose was getting the better of the exchanges in the 5th when she was right in front of JJ. It was the 3rd and the 4th where JJ controlled the distance and spammed legkicks. If Rose didn't took JJ down, she would be more than happy throwing in the pocket.

Yes I thought it was tied going into the 5th. I actually had a feeling Rose was going to go for a take down I thought it’d be sooner because JJ had the momentum but Rose came out rejuvenated on the feet and was landing. Then once she felt the tide turning she put JJ on her back with a well executed takedown.

Na, she was already winning the round. The takedown lead to nothing so shouldn't really be scored that high. Still gave it to Rose 3 rounds to 2 though it was a close fight.

Nope. It seems you are unable to read the OP when he literally said: "forget about the judges scorecards for a second"... It was quite easy to see, think it was the first line of his post.

So under those parameters / my personal evaluation my statement stands.

If you remove his first line disregarding judges it's /end thread anyway for the reason you say..

I thought JJ would start to take over after the 2nd. It started to happen..but then rose regained control.
