Social Dick Cheney has died

I did think Bale did a good job in the movie if that's any help.

Conservatives were all about their wars in the early 2000s. And god forbid someone spoke out against the war. You were branded as anti American and not a supporter of the troops.
Plenty of liberal politicians voted for the war, so they need to own that. But let’s not get it twisted, the left as a collective, as in your average citizen from the left, was against the war. Conservatives now want to say “Fuck Cheney”, but that’s was their guy. Own it.
Way to re-write history. After 9/11 everyone was pro removing al-Qaeda. It wasn't a left vs right thing in the slightest. Everyone was on board. The WMD thing was 2 years after when it was reported there were no stockpiles. That's when public perception went from "what are we still doing here?" to being anti war. Then the Obama administration came in promising to end war in the middle east and he immediately signed a bill to build military complexes in Afghanistan and Iraq IIRC. Lefties were only anti war from 2003/04-Obama's presidency.

Conservatives’s (MAGA) perception of Chaney changed when he and his daughter didn’t go along with Trump.
Dude, are you even old enough to remember? His administration left with like a 20% approval rating in 2008, mostly due to Cheney's decision making filtered through Bush's monkey brain. That's a very bi-partisan rebuke of that regime. He was not liked by damn near anyone, long before Trump came along.

Shhhhhhh, don't let the facts get in the way of these imbeciles fanfic

Did the guy, that Cheney shot in the face, outlive Cheney?

Conservatives’s (MAGA) perception of Chaney changed when he and his daughter didn’t go along with Trump. Same thing that happened to McCain. It had nothing to do with them realizing anything. I guarantee you that is Chaney has endorsed Trump, MAGA would’ve been in mourning today.

Disagree strongly.

CONSERVATIVES, myself included, were strongly against Iraq. It was fucking stupid. The REPUBLICANS and the Democrats both clapped like happy seals. Those neocons were absolutely evil.

I personally knew exactly zero people that agreed with Dick. He was always a fuckfaced cunt. His influence in the Republican party and DC in general was unexplainable.

I am sure your experiences are different. I believe your characterization of all Conservatives as Republicsns appear misguided - we honestly hate most Republicans but look at them as the lesser of two evils.

he lied about Iraq's involvement in 9/11 and their possession of a WMD program which cost over a million lives and trillions of dollars. Hardly balls and strikes.
Not just the lives but people surviving and coming home mutilated from IUD’s, having TBI’s, and PTSD.

This thread reminds me a bit of the Livia Soprano funeral.

That’s a mature response. I respect it. And yes, our opinions and perceptions are largely based on our experiences. From my experience, I didn’t know a single anti-war Republican/conservative during those times.

I’m 42, deployed in 2003 and 2005.

Of course in 2008 people were mostly war fatigued by then. My original comment specifically referenced the early 2000s. But let’s not forget, those idiots were reelected in 2004. The fact that you had enough of them by 2008 doesn’t mean anything. Also, the rebuke of the administration was in large part due to the tanking economy.

Thank you for everything you did x

That was 20 years ago. I was a democrat then.
