First thing... I just want to say, I'm not a McGregor hater or a nuthugger. I like Conor, he's a showman with a sick fighting style and I hope he stays at the top at FW.

But forget Conor for a second, this isn't about him, this is about Nate.

lets officially remove Nate out of Nicks shadow. I no everyone thinks Nick is a better fighter for some reason even though they have the exact same style with maybe some subtle differences. IMO they're equally good but Nick is a little bigger.

I've been a fan of Nate for a long time. He's been an underdog for the majority of his recent fights and came out victorious in many. Underdog against Jim Miller, Cerrone, MJ and McGregor and beat them in spectacular fashion in some of the most entertaining fights in MMA. No one puts on a show like the Diaz brothers. They are the original showman. He gets doubted so many times and people go as far as to say he doesn't belong in the UFC let alone the top 5 at LW... even though he was already a top 5 fighter before the UFC removed him from the rankings because he refused to fight for a 20k/20k contract.

That fight with Conor was one of the most entertaining fights I've ever seen. It reminded me of Daley vs Nick. Conor McGregor with so much momentum but at one point (3:11 more specifically) in the second round, there was a complete 180 shift in momentum, Diaz turned it up, started taunting, got loose with his footwork, head movement and punches, started pushing forward, and he ended up rocking him multiple times before putting Conor away. That shift in momentum is a moment in MMA that I will always remember.

The Diaz brothers are the original showmen and are legends of MMA.

The way he beat Cerrone and submitted Miller removed him from his shadow imo and a lot of others as well. I actually think their was a similar thread to this when he got the title shot

They are. It took a long time for Nick to get what he wanted. Hopefully now Nate will get the push and the money he wants.

Will always support the Diaz Bros.

It wasn't too long ago this board was trashing Nate for being discontented with his contract and saying it didn't matter if he left. These fighters deserve to get paid and hopefully Nate renegotiates now and gets what he deserves.

yes they are legends and i also agree nate is the better of the 2. i will be so sad the day they start getting beat by shmucks and have to retire. But ill never not be a fan

This fight reminded me of when Nick fought Gomi when Gomi still mattered.

I think a lot of people looked at the Diaz brothers as underdogs in both those fights.

Both are epic battles and great fights for the fans.

Agreed. He was removed from the shadow for me a long time ago, when he boxed up Gomi. But still, I seen this poll recently about who's the better Diaz and the poll was like 90% Nick and 10% Nate, so it kind of makes me think people still think of Nate as Nicks little brother instead of just Nate.

Nate's fight with McGregor is officially now one of my favorite fights of all time because of all that was going against him, short camp, weathering hard shots, and then locking in the slick sub all bloodied and such it was just a great MMA moment for hardcore fans. A true underdog story

I think it's my favorite fight as well. I keep watching it over and over again :D This sport is amazing.

I rewatched both Gomi fights Paul Daley, Cerrone and Cyborg today for nostalgia and it was awesome.Diazbros may not be the best fighters but they are my favourite of all time.

Definite "Icons"

I don't know about "Legends," but maybe that too.

one of them needs to win a belt in UFC to be a legend. if they do.. then they will be
