That is the first thing I thought at the beginning of the last episode. If this is the twist for the end of the season than they sure do suck at hiding it

After last episode I'm starting to think she creates killers. She's not just a psychologist that treats psychopaths, she turns them into killers. I dunno what her plans are with Deb.
 
Whether or not Vogel's a murderer remains to be seen, but she's already a sick nut. She compared psychopathy is to Michelangelo's art and love to playing the banjo.

Deb deserves an emmy this year, she is slaying every scene she's in.
 
I feel that Deb's boss ends up being a bigger part of the season than we're let on so far.
 
It seemed like the Dr. (immediately after revealing her knowledge of "the code") was a good candidate for the brain surgeon killings. Now they've lead us to believe she has more subjects like Dexter out there. It can't be a coincidence that the guy taking fat measurements was eating people. Ok, maybe it could be just to throw in a kill and thrill, but it seems more likely she has a bunch of serial killer patients and that one in particular is doing the brain work.

So is she purposefully putting Dexter in harm's way by turning him on to other killers or just trying to see who the best of the best is?

Definitely her best acting in the series, but she'll be nearly universally derided on Sherdog anyway, because, you know...she has a vagina and her primary role in the drama isn't as a sex object.
 
I'm kind of turning on Deb now that she's fully insane. Just hated her last season because of how whiny she was.

OOooooo...her own personal Serial Killer Tournament...that could be pretty cool. Corny, but cool.
 
I think she is the brain surgeon, but she's using Dexter to clean up all her old patients for her.
 
Watched the season premiere but fell behind, finally caught up tonight. Unlike most people, I don't think the show's been on life support the last few years and honestly believe Season 6 was good and 5 was more than good and was fucking great, right behind 4 at the top. 7 was a little disappointing but still very solid, but based on these first few episodes, this season has the potential to be a much stronger effort and a great conclusion to the series.

Quick observation/question: Did anyone think the cannibal in the most recent episode was a stab (pun intended) at Hannibal?

She's actually quite talented. My favorite moment so far was courtesy of her, in the latest episode when she's analyzing Dexter after Quinn's told him about Deb's drunk driving incident. She played that scene brilliantly, completely overcome with fascination as she realizes Dexter actually cares about Deb.

I've said it before, the earlier seasons were appropriate times to bitch about Deb. She was a fucking waste of screen time, every new season just hopping on someone's penis and being in boring, meaningless relationships. I don't think the actress had fully grown in the character either, she just felt goofy (not in a good way).

Now is the time to shut up. She's fucking great. Dunno about award-winning great, but she's very very good.

Contrary to Dexter, she's actually had a character arc over the past few seasons.
