Hey Lu i put some friends on to your channel.
they said you should remind people to like the videos and comment because the likes and comments will affect the algorithm positively and help to get your views up.

I know, I just dont like sounding like I'm begging for all that but I guess I should, lol

yea i fgured it was that.
asking for likes and comments seems like puro joto, but if you are trying to play the game you gotta follow the rules no?

maybe look at how some other creaters ask
some have like little pop ups or text in the video without directly asking. there are some good workarounds.
or just some of those hyp guys who say "smash the like button and comment below"

Well now I can blame it on someone asking me for it and I have hard evidence that's true lol, so Ima blame you and your friends.

I know that feel too well. But let me ask what is the target audience/main goal with your channel. If it is prospecting clients for your gym/classes I believe Instagram does a way better job than YouTube these days

No no, I want it to be like a TV network dedicated to my efforts as a Coach and my team. I'll be putting up videos probably until I die. Just a raw look at what this business is like.

honestly you could put content like you used to put up here (switched up a bit) and be successful

also a lot of channels are about prison or gang life and exposing a world that is an alternative to mainstream life.

you could probably spin some tales about trying to come up as a boxer the real boxing scene back then, pull in some guys you know.

also boxing history vids or style vids like a series on the shell would probably pull in clicks

Not sure how it’s worldwide, but in Russian-speaking part of YouTube the most popular boxing videos are either some explanations of complicated techniques or breakdowns on famous boxers, like:

Damn, almost every guy in the second video has crazy skills and seems strong and fast.

To be honest in the professional level afro Americans are the best by leaps and bounds, but at club level, the average Russian looks like a killer.

Lol, thanks for the compliments but it’s actually just random hobbyists, zero active athletes among them, except for the bald dude who was helping the coach.
Amateur athletes are more like this:

That's the strength of a good system, with good foundation principals.

Most US Coaches are too set on selling Mitt-work for money. This kinda thing:

I’m glad nobody is shown doing mittwork in your videos because mittwork is a scam. Is it better than drinking soda? Probably. Can you always find better things to do? Absolutely.

They do mitt-work, its just usually specified and one student at a time. So it's not always visually stunning unless you understand why they're doing it, or you are interested in the Coach doing a lot of explaining.

But what should jump out at Americans is how what they do looks like an athletic program. It doesn't cater to this hyper-individualized ego trip like our gyms do, where a trainer obsesses over a single fighter and treats each fighter they think is worth the time like beautiful unique snowflakes while only halfway paying attention to everyone else. But rather they have a program where anyone who participates will have the same skillset as the elite athletes and just choose what they want to do with it.

I mean I used to work with a Coach who told people "watch Lomanchenko to learn angles" and all I kept thinking was "Anatoly is in Oxnard, why dont they just drive there and learn directly from him instead of paying you to tell them to watch his Son?"

Well, it’s as Lu said - we do mitts, yes, but it’s more of a fine tuning of certain techniques for each specific student than mass-mitts I saw in the western gyms. As I understood it (from reading “The ark of boxing: the Rise and decline of the Sweet Science”), it was the same type of work in the US, too, in the early-mid XXth, which then transformed into the current mitts oriented-obsession in the late 80s-early 90s.
