Maybe unpopular opinion but I never can get excited to see Sam fight. I just don't get a thrill from watching jobbers without much skill (he has heavy'ish hands and good chin, that's it, and slowest twitch fiber i have ever seen).
UFC cuts great fighters on the regular because they are too greedy to pay them but keeps jobbers for 30 fights on the regular as well, because they are cheap. I wish they cut half the roster, made it only possible to join the UFC if you are elite, doesn't matter if you are boring or not. And pay those athletes as they deserve to be paid.
Now we have 8000 fighters, some with 2-0 records or 10-15, jobbers that get 20/20 and the UFC is content because they don't complain and they fill out those shitty cards nicely.
