I’m not threatening anybody. I don’t work for Disney, or any of its subs, It’s pretty self evident, however that Disney is an incredibly powerful and exceptionally well funded organization, and if they so decide to relocate, they absolutely could do so.

Nearly all that infrastructure you mention is aging, and much of it is inefficient.
Florida is a good fit for Disney, no doubt, but they will only bend so far. Do you imagine that relocation has not already been a topic of discussion on the executive level @ Disney?

DeSantis wants to curry favour with his base by fucking with Disney, and I think it’s a mistake. He’s got overwhelming support in Fl, he should use that to his advantage rather than squandering the goodwill he currently enjoys.

Disney still plays taxes and still can do any infrastructure repairs or additions just like they have always been able to do. All White Boots Ron changed is now there is a board that has to approve it. He also made it so the state of Florida can place people on that board.
That is the only change. Desantis really stuck it too Disney. It’s all theater and Ron really did nothing but can pretend he is anti woke warrior and the base eats it up.
Here is the funny part. One dude White Boots Ron appointed to the board gave Desantis 50k. The reason not much changed with Disney is because they gave Ron 50k. Disney ain’t too woke for Desantis not to take money from them. Face it Ron duped you as well.

Same thing happened with Universal Studios.
Universal wanted to expand. There is a subdivision near Universal that every owner gets a set amount free passes to Universal(last homeowner I spoke with said it was 8) due to spent fireworks canisters end up in their yard from time to time.
So home owners in the area were not too keen on the expansion.
Expansion was approved and come to find out, Universal was giving politicians free trips to Universal for their families with hotels and perks included. Universal and the politicians were publicly trying to state those perks were not really perks but under the guise of fact finding and negotiations that happened to be at Universal including hotels and park passes for their families.
Disney has way more money than Universal so no doubt in my mind the donors(because he is putting guys on the board that gave him money) Desantis puts on the board will have lots of Disney hotel stays and probably having Princess 3 somes in said hotels and it will be business as usual for Disney.
Desantis basically performed a mob shake down on Disney and got his base to cheer him on for doing it.
