Media Derrick Lewis vs. Tallison Teixeira to Headline UFC Nashville on July 12th

Prediction: Derrick Lewis calls in sick 2 weeks before the fight, UFC puts the co main event in to headline and everyone complains

Well...... I dunno, but it's an extremely intriguing matchup, and those are hard to find for Derrick Lewis at this point in his career.

Pretty fucking early for Tallison.

It will be very exciting for 2/3 of a round.

this is gonna be good. Let's see if Tallison is for real.

This is an opening fight or middle fight to a fight night card at best ... New UFC headliner these days unfortunately....80% chance lewis doesn't make it to fight night and like someone said earlier ...some BS Co Main will take it's place.... Alexander Not so Great Hernandez vs some scrub new headliner two days out

Another first round

Bet the under

Lewis gets hit and turtles these days - for years now

They're giving Tallison Teixeira a main event already? That's gotta be some kind of record.

Main eventing on the second fight of a Contender Series contact is wild, and I'm on the hype train.
That's fucking the stacked hw division right there.

I don’t know about you, “technical skill lovers”, but I am excited to see these two fight. Predicting Lewis to lose in round one.

I think Lewis KO's him, unfortunately, I love Lewis but would much prefer the new prospect to remain unbeaten.

This guy is going to the moon isn't he.

I legit forgot that Derrick Lewis was still fighting.

Everything to try to revive HW at this point.

I don't understand the decision from the UFC to not build their 25 years old heavyweight prospect slowly. How often do we get a 265 pound prospect who is not over 30 already? They may be really thirsty for a new blood.

He also loves rolling over at the first sign of adversity. I don't think he makes it out of the first round TBH.
He's also had a half-dozen comebacks after facing adversity. Those days may well.be behind him but Tex is wildly unproven & main event stage could be too much too soon.

Would've preferred Lewis vs Waldo Cortes-Acosta but this should be a good scrap.
