With his upcoming fight against Blaydes this weekend, I'm surprised no one is talking about him at all.

Sadly, Lewis doesn't get the recognition he deserves. As of now, he's the one and only most entertaining fighter in the division, the only top HW today who actually shows up and bang it without hesitancy and take absolute any fights without delay just for the fans. You don't see that with others anymore.

Yet, he's treated like he's some bum. Why is that? Do you realize he's only 1-2 fight away from getting the title shot again?

His current streak is barely beating Latifi and Ivanov in boring snoozefests and knocking out a senior citizen. WTF recognition does he deserve? He's funny, I give him that.

I would nvr call him a bum but let's be honest, skill-wise he is pretty bad. Luckily for him he fights in a division where being big and hitting hard is enough to make you competitive. Morever, besides two weird/controversial victories (Volkov, who threw the fight away, and Ngannou what can barely be called a fight) he has always lost against top competition.

Still a fun fighter and a must-watch afaic.

Nobody takes Lewis seriously because he doesn't take the sport seriously. He didn't train, was a fatass, and always complained about his back. Yeah, he was knocking guys out, but he was never going to sniff a title. Good to see him taking the sport more seriously and trying to get in shape. Maybe he will get the recognition he deserves as he starts taking the sport more seriously.

But "dey makin memz af meh"!

I bet money on him when he is a huge underdog, that is how I give him my respect. BB wins by KO in the 2nd.

I like Lewis but I'd be really surprised if he wins this weekend. He gets dominated on the ground for a period of time almost every fight no matter who he's fighting. Now he's fighting one of the best grapplers in the division. He for sure has a shot because he's strong as hell but still. His style just makes it so he will never be champ. If he didn't have his power he'd have not really anything. Many fights he's getting his ass beat then lands a huge shot. When he's getting dominated on the ground he throws people off him with little technique. I'm not sure if he will be able to do that to Blades. DC showed how flawed he is when he can't brute himself off the ground.

I think people love Lewis because he's hilarious and exciting but no one is hyped because we know we don't have a championship fighter.

What recognition? The guy hits hard and is tough, but he's not particularly talented. The sad state of HW means he's ranked and rightfully so, but it sucks that someone with his skill set can be ranked.

I think there is plenty of love for Lewise. He has a great personality. He has even had a title shot.

Some people underestimate him because he looks tired after throwing like 1 punch but he has an impressive record of round 3 KO's. His a fighter who can legit sleep anyone he fights at any point. If he loses the weight he said would and becomes even a little bit more athletic he could easy be champ.

Lewis however never really had a chance v DC and losing his next fighter after that killed momentum for him :(

What does he deserve though? lol

Everyone looks at him for what he is. A dangerous guy who can hit hard, but not much else

Probably the most underrated fighter on Sherdog imo. People say he shows how much HW's have regressed, but I genuinely think if you teleported him somehow to the PRIDE HW division, you'd be shocked at how well he did.

He has great power which he carries through the whole fight, very tough to submit, very good at getting back up, strong as fuck and some of the nastiest ground and pound the history of the sport.

People have technique confused with spinny shit. Also the only fighters they recognize are the ones they fap to. Beast is very effective at what he does. Closes distance with surprising speed.. Neutralizes grappling. Reverses position.. constant fear of a KO until the last bell. Claiming he is one dimensional man get that noob shit outta here. He would be right where he is in the HW division in ANY HW era.
