Deontay Wilder would be a small LHW

Jon Jones or any other solid light heavyweight would take him down and beat him into dust in the first round. You think he gets away with this shit against any fighter with solid grappling? <45>

Ngannou and Derrick Lewis are top 5 heavyweights with ZERO wrestling, Ngannou even admits to not training wrestling. Wilder would be champ with proper matchmaking.

Impossible to say, how well would he take to wrestling and bjj? would he learn to competently protect those twig legs from kicks?

If he catches you standing he'll damn near kill you, thats for sure.

1. Every single fighter in the UFC trains wrestling relentlessly. No exceptions.
2. Both Lewis and Ngannou have a fighting style custom-tailored to account for the threat of the takedown, reinforced by thousands of sparring sessions and drills. No boxer has this.

He's 6'7", 83" reach but only 211 lbs. Yet he's packing that kind of a punch on that height, that reach, and that weight. How would he do in MMA? He's like a Jon Jones but even taller and with enough power to KO super HWs.
He's sloppy and he would have no time to feel an opponent out and absorb damage in MMA. Wouldn't get far, and I'm a fan.

Hell with a gif like that, I like your chances too sherbro :)

Ngannou's punches and movement here are way more controlled than what we see from Wilder when he's starts swinging. He's postured to account for the threat of the takedown and was still taken down by Stipe in this fight. I don't see your point.

He would never be in MMA. He's making tens of millions of dollars boxing... he's going to take 200k to have someone kicking his leg and trying to take him down?
We kinda know that. It was a hypothetical Q.

How well have Ngannou, Lewis, Hunt taken to wrestling & BJJ?

It doesn’t mean that everyone that’s tall and thin can be a champ in mma.

How did it work out for Semmy Schilt?

He weighed 223 for his fight on Saturday. He would be the fastest and most powerful LHW on the planet in MMA
So fucking what. When you’re on your back eating elbows, speed is very overrated.

He knows how to use his length, he has that in common with Jones. I don't think that would help him in MMA though. He'd do as good as any boxer, which is, not great, maybe pretty good if he takes to the other disciplines.

He'd get knocked out by Rountree... he's never been hit by anybody like Rountree...

Oh sorry, in that case Wilder murders everyone. If Ngannou can work his way to a title shot, Wilder would be the first guy to kill someone in the UFC.

If you don’t think one of the best punchers in the world couldn’t be champ, you’re insane.

ESP at heavy weight

Learn basic sprawling and TDD, you’re a champ.

If you can punch harder, faster and more accurate than your opponent, you will be a god

No, but he could definitely get away with this. Any UFC fighter in the world that takes this right hand flush would be instantly KTFO.

I feel he would destroy most of the top 10 today.
