Thank you. I just think you guys would have a lot better results if you just simply focused on things that effect a majority of people and things that will help people. Things people want and need. Healthcare is a major issue in this country. We need more resources into helping the homeless and mentally ill people.

But really what I'd like is for all of us to get along better. Ultimately, everybody here in this country is in this together. People need to be more civil and nice with each other. Maybe we can get some progress to help everybody.

Since nothing else I want to happen is ever on the table I've become a single issue voter and i feel more like I'm forced to vote r than it being something I want to do.

Well I appreciate your sentiment, NATO was terrible. We'll see what these new agreements yield. But I don't think people overall are that worried here about trade abroad until it hits their pocketbooks. Usually the polls go up for the side that opposes the president. The fact that these remain low means the party is not hitting what they need to bring in enough of the middle roaders in my opinion

I personally think guns are the stupidest inventions on Earth, but I agree that there are several issues the Dems need to drop at the moment in favour of universal medical care and affordable housing, not only in the US, but in all countries.

Both parties are long gone, there is way too much special interest money in the system now and the needs of the people are an after thought. When I was a kid they used to talk about abolishing all soft money from elections. Ever since they have steadily chipped away at the rules, so much so that representatives are beholden to the soft money more than the voters. Now banning soft money isn't even in the national dialogue. Our system is cooked.

Also when I was a kid the press was actually the fourth estate, an independent body not beholden to any of the branches of government doing the investigative work for the people. Now the press is either owned by huge corporations or by an oligarch. They don't function in the same role as before.

I guess what I'm saying is our system has it a dead end and needs a refresh or else we are toast.

The thing is, with Harris we would have had a kinder, gentler machine gun hand.

I don't support either party but Trump is a whole different animal. I was thinking about it the other day, probably the most distractive political figure since Stalin. Name a worse one.

Yes, I think. There is an actual independent party and I am not a member of that. I am independent with no party affiliation.

I was always registered Republican but I was disgusted by Newt Gingrich and dropped out of the party. Hell, I voted for Regan and even voted for Al Haig in a primary once.
