Elections Democratic Party Approval at All Time Low

Yes, I think. There is an actual independent party and I am not a member of that. I am independent with no party affiliation.

I was always registered Republican but I was disgusted by Newt Gingrich and dropped out of the party. Hell, I voted for Regan and even voted for Al Haig in a primary once.
You are an interesting cat. I also voted for Reagan in 1984 when I was of age. Voted for Obama twice and get this; during Obama's reign I watched Olberman, Maddow and O'Donnell on msnbc. My my how times have changed.

I just told you how important they are to me.

We've gone over this so many times I feel like you should actually know the 3 gun issues i will not budge on. And blowing money on various usaid programs is not more important to me than my rights or my traditions ...but if you and your Democrat pals would like me to vote in favor of things like that than make room for me and people like me in your tent . You'd be surprised , there's a lot of folks like me out there who aren't really Republicans but are uncomfortable with the democrats constant gun control attempts.
If firearms are that important to you then go ahead and vote for whomever panders to your love of guns best, even if it means being on the same team as the KKK and cut medicaid people.

This is how creeps/rapists get elected it seems.

Well I appreciate your sentiment, NATO was terrible. We'll see what these new agreements yield. But I don't think people overall are that worried here about trade abroad until it hits their pocketbooks. Usually the polls go up for the side that opposes the president. The fact that these remain low means the party is not hitting what they need to bring in enough of the middle roaders in my opinion
NATO wasn’t terrible, without the U.S impact in nato the world shifts to a different demographic which would end up being communist authoritarian like Russia it’s be the U.S global influence that stops that ,if NATO was without the United States Russia influence takes over thars just a fact . You all realize we are stationed in those nato countries as well right this also prevents any diminishing effect if this also weakens our own national security and intel of possibility of terrorist attacks against us increases . Trump is weakening this as well,.

Trump himself admitted the country was better 3 years ago without him he just doesn’t realize it was Biden not him running the country. lol

I will even put of with the silliness if I get something in return. Like, give me universal healthcare and I'll gladly state my prefered pronouns.

(Or, you know, just be against genocide maybe. The bar isn't exactly high.)

But pronouns  instead of garunteed healthcare? No. That doesntworkforme, brother.

Still, I'd rather chew light bulbs than vote Republican.
Yeah, I disagree entirely with the notion that dems should capitulate on culture war issues, but they need to lead with economic populism. The problem is, the old guard is completely beholden to the donor class. Next year's primaries need to be about rooting out the neoliberals and zionists.

I think remaining in NATO is important. Reworking the deal is also valid.

LOL! That was my first presidential election, '84. I grew up in Berkeley and was in the mandatory busing, was constantly fed extreme liberal propaganda all throughout my childhood. Was your school multi racial when Roots was first on TV?

I voted Obama twice too.

It is. Trump has the leverage to do that. Already raised contributions to 5% of GDP.

I personally think guns are the stupidest inventions on Earth, but I agree that there are several issues the Dems need to drop at the moment in favour of universal medical care and affordable housing, not only in the US, but in all countries.

Get the big stuff right and worry about the rest later.

Increase the standard of living.

That's the goal.
Agree.

Ultimately, the problem is that the Dems serve the same corporate masters that the Republicans do.

The Democrat strategy has been to try to reshape the electorate into a homogeneous, nondescript entity that will embrace technocratic "solutions" that ultimately still prioritize those corporate interests.

The Republican strategy has been to lean straight into the most base elements of populism ("They're eating the dogs!") while writing legislation that blatantly panders to the corporations.

The right wing, for all its flaws, at least accepts the electorate for what it is.

The way forward for the Dems is to do the same-- but that would require actually embracing economic populism.

I voted Obama twice.

College was multi and very liberal.

But I went to a rural high school in Pennsylvania. 96% cracker.

My high school was 56% black and I like to play basketball. I found the black kids more fun to hang with as they were less cliquey in high school.

If you're referring to 2016, no I really didn't see it coming.

No. I was telling you the DNC was polling at 27%.

You were adamant I was wrong. You challenged the polls as not being recent enough.

I'll take your word for it. My last couple of weeks have been off the charts busy, apologies.

Right. This is what I want from the dnc to a t. I'd support them if they did just that without any hesitation.

We don't have to agree about guns. But the parties stance on them makes it impossible for me to be your ally due to it being a party platform position.
