Elections Democrat Party dirty tricks exposed

Right because the highest court in the nation squashed them you ignorant son of a bitch.

Any more excuses?

You believe they would've won with all those votes? They got pretty thoroughly trounced. Stay mad about winning, I guess.

We may ultimately end up paying more for goods due to the tariffs, but I disagree that it is raising taxes in a traditional sense.
OK. I don't know what you mean by "traditional sense." But it would be raising taxes, especially on the poor and middle class. Tariffs are older than income taxes, BTW.
My taxes will not go up-my out of pocket costs might. A tariff is a tax on imported goods. It’s not a tax like income tax. I know he repeatedly said he was raises tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and china until they got their shit in order with illegal migration and fentanyl. I was aware of that much. And I never disagreed with you on that or that the sun rises in the east. I just disagreed with you that he is raising taxes on the lower classes.
But that's what tariffs are. And, no, we don't tax Canada or China or Mexico. Those are independent, sovereign gov'ts. Tariffs are be applied on Americans who buy from those countries, and then paid by consumers.

You’re saying one thing and I am reading something else in articles. According to them, he puts tariffs on the imported goods at the border. I understand that means they raise prices that affects you and I. Sorry, but I don’t consider that a tax on me in the traditional sense like income tax. States decide sales tax, not the fed

I think you're having trouble following along. It has to do with who I blame for losing to Trump.

The Democrats lost to the worst president in history twice. I think they share the blame for that.

Lying about Biden not being unfit for the presidency because of his age and feebleness played a nice role in that because people felt ripped off because they could see with their own eyes that he was feeble and unfit and yet people (like you) kept saying he wasn't.

Everyday that Biden is the president is a day that we're in danger if some emergency takes place that requires quick judgment or the use of the football for instance.
The problem is the democrats are cowards and hypocrites. (Both of which are sins, but that’s our quibble from another thread).
Remember when they all dropped out of the primary simultaneously in 2020 to endorse Biden because his polling was highest against Trump? That was the start of their downfall. It was short sighted and cowardly.

Anyway, I know we’ll never agree on politics, but you’re alright. You stand by your convictions rather than party loyalty.

Your post is correct but most people that voted for Trump would also cut off their family/friends if they did the same things as he did.
I live in NY. I know lots of Dems who hate Trump. It’s all good. IRL isn’t the internets. Sane people can make that distinction.

No.

Lying to the American people about Biden and having sophists gaslight people all across the country is a perfect example of how the Democrats have lost the plot and failed to defeat the worst presidential candidate in history twice in a row.

I think it's perfectly relevant.
They do that about a heck of a lot more things than just your example of hiding Biden’s cognitive capabilities. Do you not see that?

I mean yeah both sides lie and gaslight, but your side was censoring opposition until musk bought Twitter. To me that’s unforgivable. The whole concept of freedom relies on free public discourse and exchange of ideas.

For a party who is constantly panicking about Russia. You all act a lot like Russia.

Ask him if inflation is a tax.

Can you link somewhere that claims that tariffs are applied on other countries or that incidence doesn't fall on consumers?

Here's the first non-sponsored result I get when I search "who pays tariffs?" It’s not a controversial issue. Trump is the only person I've seen try to claim that other countries pay tariffs that we apply.

Again, if your view is that cutting taxes on the rich and raising them on everyone else is good, just say that. But you can't say that that's not the plan.

Of course I see that I've seen it since I was 19 years old which is over 20 years ago....

This is not new information to me or something I've come to recently like it is for many of you, but it doesn't change the fact that the Republicans are far worse in nearly every single way and that Trump is far worse than the Republicans in every single way.

Trump is a unique villain and is bringing even the Republican party down.

Yes, I remember that. There is also the point when the Democrats chose barabas and betrayed the country because if they had backed Bernie who was the rightful winner.... We would have never seen Trump ever in this country.

That can be true and it can still be true that Trump is by far worse than even the worst of the Democrats or Republicans. He is a unique threat to this country and brings profound moral and spiritual degradation to all of us.

Man, I just don’t know what to think. I am seeing it both ways. The articles I read said he was reimplementing the 2017 tax system that was lower taxes. But your video and some other articles I read state taxes are only cut for the extremely wealthy.

Even if he cut my taxes, I still hate him, but I would be shocked if he raised taxes on his base of middle class and lower blue collar workers. So which source is right and which ones are wrong? I do know that he will lower taxes for the rich-that much I believe. He is a scumbag in that manner but he will help his rich buddies and I know he idolizes Reagan and his trickle down economics.

In the end, I don’t know who to believe
Yeah I see what you're saying there man but I think mostly a lot of middle class people's taxes went up under Trump. Mine certainly went up under Trump last time.

And I know what you mean about differing sources and I am just like you... not quite interested in politics enough to become deeply. Deeply informed.

But the people Trump has put in his cabinet so far definitely want to raise taxes on the middle class and cut social welfare programs and give rich people a big break and I think that's what will happen ultimately.

Why do you care what it's called though? It is lots more money out of your pocket AND it will go towards the national debt.... Like taxes would.
The reason I care is because the mechanisms are completely different. Inflation is a factor of the economy that's influenced by many things outside of the immediate control of any nation. Russia's invasion of Ukraine caused significant inflation worldwide, for instance. Taxes are government initiatives to raise money for certain objectives, like welfare or national defense. Higher taxes would generally work to reduce the national debt, although that's only if it's the right call to reduce it and the government is smart enough to spend the money towards that end.
