Done with #31. Im feeling beat up. Got a little hamstring tweak that I'm gonna ice. Don't really want to go for a 600 deadlift with it next week. I might just take the week off. We'll see.
 
Walk - 20 minutes, 3.0 mph.

Knee was feeling fine until I started walking. I think it's a good idea to just take the week of and keep icing it. I really don't want to but I can see it getting really bad. It feels like the tendon connecting the hamstring to the knee. Also my elbow is still nagging me so a week off should be helpful to that too. I even have a slight lat strain that I think was caused from using an over under grip when I deadlifted 540 for singles. I'm falling apart!
 
Walk - 20 minutes, 3.0 mph

Hamstring tendon feels better. Been icing it. I think I'm going to do just upper body this week just to be safe. My back feels better too, I had my wife go over the strain with my massage gun which helped.
 
I missed my logging second half of last week, but I did hit my Greyskull sessions on Wednesday and Friday.

Monday we had a holiday roll. Drilled some chokes from full guard and then did seven (I think) five-minute live rolls. I had some visitors in and you know I don't like to talk about "winning" rounds in class or "smashing" my wonderful training partners ... but I smashed these visitors and won those rounds.

BJJ - We drilled some counters to DLR when going for a knee cut pass.

Broke into groups of three. Mine was a 275-pound 19-year-old white belt and a very fit wrestler/blue belt around 20 or so. King of the pass, starting from the guard player sitting, no contact. Passer is King and stays in as long as he keeps passing (usually we do winner comes out after 3 in a row, but not now). I was in for the first 8:30 before exhaustion got me swept and I never recovered. Holy shit, I was dead. We then King of Escapes from mount and then full back control, then two live 5-minute rolls.

Good class, but holy balls. That 8:30 straight between those two young guys was brutal.

BJJ - Really good class today. We drilled a knee cut pass when they counter with a knee in and framing. Then four 5-minute live rolls. Fucking 20 year old blue belts DO NOT GET TIRED. Fucking kid did a flying cartwheel to pass my guard. I swept him and strangled him, but still....

BJJ - Killer Tuesday

We actually did 15 minutes of drilling tonight. Same knee cut/counter pass as yesterday. Knee cut is something I've been working on to be a bigger part of my passing game, so good shit.

Either 20 or 15 minutes (not sure if the second block was 10 or 5) of King of the Shitty position. We did turtle, side control, 1/4 triangle, and omoplata as starting points. Winner stayed in the shitty position. Oh, we actually started with a block of King of the Pass, starting from that same knee shield/knee cut position. So that must have been two 10-minute periods.

Then three 6-minute live rolls.

Good good shit. I love Tuesdays.

Heaviest I've benched in over a year. 405 was easy. Could have tripled it. I'm guessing my bench max is around 445 right now. I noticed benching feels better with bigger lats. The last year my back has grown a lot. I can really feel it with the heavier sets.
