Could also add an online subscription service where they show rec teams playing around the world. After all, it's about the game.

I shouldn't have to watch a bunch of irrelevant fights to watch 1 relevant non title fight or try time the main event to catch the 1 fight of interest.....

Instead of having 1 or 2 great ppvs that attract fans are full of important fights and that truly shape the future of the sport, we get 17-20 completely shitty cards where there is only 1 fight for contention, 1 unproven prospect, and 10 fights that no one cares about between low level gatekeepers and rejects.

Then when ppvs do come along, the cards suck because the watchable talent has been used propping up a card with 11 irrelevant fights on it.....

This format isn't just hurting free TV.....its hurting ppv by thinning out the available talent for important events.....hence lower ppv buy rates....

This is the antithesis of what the UFC used to be.....whole cards of relevant fights where there were at least 6 to 8 established stars, contenders and/or champions on every card...

It used to be exciting when a UFC event was coming up.....now its becoming a steaming pile of mediocrity.....80% of the fights really don't matter.'......
 
These days I just read the play by plays. I have not purchased a PPV since Silva Weidman 2

It's nothing like this - it's not like individual players are taken from A level teams and put onto shitty teams out of nowhere. That's what they do to Cub Swanson though... Take a great fighter and surround him with nobodies.

Other sports don't work that way. The same players take the field with the same team each time (99.9% of the time anyway), while fighters are traded to the internet dark ages on a whim

The last Figh Night had 5 of the 6 main card fights ending in a finish. Just sayin.

and even the steaming pile of shit cards back in the day, you only had to endure the mention of one every other month or so, now it's just garbage in garbage out. NCAA wrestlers in their mid 30's vs amateur kickboxers who have 10-7 mma records.

Wonderful how the sport has grown.

As I've said before, the sport's talent/ skill/ willingness to fight/ has dropped off. On it's best day mma is amateur kickboxing, on it's worse day it's a hugging contest. Everyone is scared to lose and risking it all for glory of victory is non existent - And the d level local whatshisnames are making it almost unbearable, it's close to the point of comedy

It doesnt take a genius to know that Fight Night cards were created with the intent of farming and showcasing prospects. Its always been that way. 9 years after the first Fight Night nobody should be unaware of this.

and you should be aware that the severe drop off in the ratings tell us either its not working anymore or that maybe the talent level is shittier or not as exciting/ interesting to fans as it once was, Maybe having the TUF'ers do the fight nights helped, after all they were tv stars first and foremost for the ufc

so if people don't watch an NBA game between Charlotte Bobcats and Milwaukee bucks, then they aren't 'true NBA fans'
