Deadlifts and milkshakes

Yaaaay! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Participating in any sort of PR circumstance is awesome--an organized one is even better. This sounds like so much fun. We may have an intramural variant of it next semester here at Iowa. Good going, I have much confidence in you and I really wish I had been there to see it.

Thanks girl! I highly recommend doing something on campus. It actually ran really smoothly. The only gripe I had was that people left after they were done deadlifting. A lot of the big pullers didn't have much of an audience. But otherwise, it went really well. We should see if someday our teams could meet up halfway at a meet or something. We have already talked to other universities about it.

Yep it was really cool and exciting. I hope a lot of people get interested in the sport and make it a goal to compete at a full powerlifiting meet someday.

I think I can get us free accommodation at a resort in the caribbean. But I have no idea what the gym situation is like. Probably bad.

lol...this is the only place I will boast about that. All of the girls at this competition were novices with very little experience. I'm still the weakest, smallest lifter at any real competition.

I haven't lifted in almost two weeks (aside from the campus mock meet). I planned on getting back today but now I think I have pneumonia! I had a busy weekend and yesterday started to feel feverish while walking around NYC. The way that my clothes were touching my skin made me want to cry (you know, that painful goosebumps feeling), I was shivering, and coughing like crazy. I slept 12+ hours and have a doctor's appt. in a few hours to confirm if its pneumonia or not.

Thanks catlady! I just went to the doctor and thankfully I don't have pneumonia but I do have the flu. I feel like the walking dead but at least recovery time will be shorter.
