His best plan is to hope Jon rips his toe off and the ref stops it
DC being "on another level" doesn't seem to help him dictate where the fight goes against Jones shockingly.
What do you call this wrestling move?

It's a total Fitch move...fucking AKA...
if DC really said that, he is delusional. Undoubtly it will be Cormiers hardest fight in his career again. But over the last few days I had the feeling DC would win in the rematch. I think DC fought well against Jones in their first match. But he also made some stupid silly decisions. Decisions like throwing that stupid slow awkward kick in the first round. If DC doesnt make stupid decisions like that he could very well beat Jones (if Jones fights similar to how he fought on saturday). But hearing him say stupid things like this, makes me go back to favouring Jones again.
That's called the "fat guys shouldn't kick TD".
Game plan: push the pace and pressure. Get in the clinch and jam with uppercuts. Mix it with the threat of tds. This time he should also employ kicks. Avoid eye pokes and oblique kicks and he should be fine.
Jones caught 6'3" OSP's kick just like that. He'll grab kicks and it bothers me because of these days he is going to misjudge it and take one in the head.
Jones proved in the first fight was a better wrestler. Credentials be damned.
Can he do it? DC has shown to be a very quick learner and his current skillset makes me believe that he can pick up these techniques quickly. Learning to deal with the oblique kick in particular is easy but if Cormier doesn't do his homework and the fight mostly takes place at range, Jones will ruin him with that move. I think that the amount of times he used that kick vs OSP is an obvious tell that it will be one of his go-to moves for DC.

Good plan, it only took him 8 tries and 24 minutes to take Jones down once and keep him down for one second.
gus took him down twice, cormier once....no?

He had no Cain help during camp plus it was a bad weight cut. This time the odds are with dc. Who knows what Jon was on during the first fight. He pushed the pace last fight, that is why he won a round, but it caused him to gas out and get beaten.

Gus took Jones down more than once by Jones` own words (I know official stats say only 1).
