DC's plan for Jones

Answer:
4) Total bitch move.

I will start out rooting for DC, but if he tries to pull this shit, I will end up hoping DC gets KTFO or choked out.

That BS does not fly in heavily hyped fights or fights in general.
GSP vs Nick Diaz???

"I wasn't able to take Jon down as much as I wanted to. This time I'm gonna go right over there, take him down, and hold him there for 25 minutes."

What do you guys think of this?

Can he do it?

Is he conceding defeat?

Is it a total bitch move?

He had more sucess standing last time. Would be a big mistake on his part I think.

Well, its possible. I'm going to have to see it to believe it though. Bones is a savage.
Normally I would agree but DC is also a beast. I also think if the Jones that fought osp comes then it can end badly for him.

And a total waste of time and energy. He was what? 1 for 8 and never even put Jones on his back in the first place.

i think it's a smart plan. will it be an entertaining fight if he pulls it off? probably not.

i think dc absorbed too many body shots trying to hang with jones in the standup, and it cost his endurance later in the fight.

this time dc will embrace the grind. or at least try to get back to his bread and butter.

He needs to stay agressive but avoid those body shots.

DC and Jones rounds 1 thru 3 where very competitive.

Round 4 is where it went downhill for DC and round 5 neither of them did much of anything.

He should get in jones face and try and box him up I think. Close the distance so he cant span oblique kicks and thrn watch out for elbows.

That is part of the reason why Jones is a monster. If he had KO power it wouldn't even be fair. Nobody has ever been able to put him on his back. If you clinch with him he is nasty as shit in the clinch. Ask DC, or Glover, or Rashad or anyone that has clinched up with him how it went. So now you can't top control him, and its hard as hell to clinch with him without getting beaten up, and that leaves the option to stand and out strike him.....but he's masterful at controlling distance. An absolute nightmare to fight for anyone.

I agree but tough to do. Did you see how many body shots he landed on OSP? He kicked his ribs all night until OSP got tired of getting kicked in his ribs so he blocked a few with his arms and got a broken arm out of the deal.

That's all AKA does. Train to out work their opponents. Fitch does it. Cain does it. DC does. The only major finisher they have these days is Rockhold. And DC can finish too. But it seems like trying to knock Jones out or submit him is off the table. How about train to do that. Instead of crushing your knees with leg raise burn out exercises?

Cain may outwork most of his opponents, but of his 13 wins only 2 have been by decision. The rest have been KOs/TKOs.

if that's his plan then he's going to out-'bum' jones come ufc200. more of the same just won't do it.
