One place that Dems hurt electorally imo is on gun issues. Harris tried to steer away from the issue in ‘24 so wondering if that will remain a possibility. Has there been an example where there was a shooting and after the normal GOP line of “this is a mental health issue”, Dems proposed a bill solely focused on funding for mental health issues? Probably wouldn’t work but I think it would call some of the GOPs bluff on the comment that even if they think that’s the problem, they don’t see a government solution that can solve it. Not sure if that translates better in elections or not.

GOP would be like "Sure, let's start locking more people away in mental wards again" and it'd result in a stalemate for a while.

Not saying that would be good or bad, but your idea could at least jumpstart that conversation overall.

It’s pretty fun y to see Fetterman show his true Colors and go off script sometimes. I don’t know how they can be so stupid as to push back against their sane party members.
