Dave Bautista is such an awful actor

I think he's done a good job.

Notably funny in Guardians and its sequel.

Left his mark on Blade Runner in a memorable scene.

Reasonably entertaining in Stuber.

Effectively menacing in Dune.

I haven't seen other stuff with him but I think he's clearly a cut above the typical wrestler turned actor (he, Cena, and Rock are clearly the biggest success stories in that particular niche of performers). At the end of the day, the fact that good filmmakers like Villaneuve and Gunn seem to not only really like him but want to work with him multiple times indicates something. It could just be he's a good guy to work with but I think they wouldn't be looking to bring him back if they didn't think he was effective.

That zombie movie he was in sucked shit but otherwise I don't think he's that bad.

He's not bad at all. I don't see him doing Shakespeare at the Globe any time soon, but he's been good in a few roles and he continues to branch out. I like that he's happy to play supposing roles for the right project rather than only staring in a string of generic turds which was definitely an option.

Cena is getting shit on in here too and he's surprised the hell out of me. Not a dramatic actor, but he's so much funnier than he has any right to be.

Besides him smiling and laughing more,.. he's exactly the same in "real" life. Seriously.

Come on man. It was a sarcastic comment and a reference to an earlier post. I didn't mean it literally and wasn't trying to offend anyone.

Lmao nahhh bro don’t worry about it. That’s something stupid we Filipinos say. Keep ______. Literally doesn’t mean a thing lmao.

I've only seen him in Guardians of the Galaxy (and Avengers) and that didn't really take serious acting chops!

Is this the one whose family is always casting spells? That was f'ing hilarious BTW.
Casting spell family was a childhood friend that I played basketball with. She is like a tomboy that lived across the street. We were burning ants and trying to blow up wasp hives with firecrackers. I never saw her ever again when she moved away. I think it was around beginning of high school or end of middle school?

It is weird but I had a few Filipino friends that came and went all my life. My best friend in 5th grade was this Filipino kid in my class. He moved away too so I never saw him after that. LOL I even went on a date with an half Filipino/European MT champion. I met her when we were training in the same gym overseas. I think her pussy dried up when I met up with her a few years later. I was no longer training and got "fat". That 5x5 milk and lifting diet doesn't get chicks....

All good bro. I grew up with a lot of filipinos (SoCal) but never heard anything about casting spells. That's funny AF. And yeah I did the 5x5 + stuffing your face thing too. Works great for bulking up but you can't skip the cardio forever.

Disagree, I think he's done well. Also been in some really good movies

Really I don't see him as being your typical wrestler turned actor, most of them basically get by on the larger than life persona they had in the ring were as Bautista its been a combination of showing very good comic performance and intensity.

I never heard about casting spells except from my family. It was just a WTF moment when the Mayweathers were talking about it. I am just like how does Roger and Floyd senior know my family?

Some stereotypes I never heard of like the Karaoke machines. I thought it was a Vietnamese thing for the longest.

I've heard some wacky shit from my older relatives too lol. Different generation, different times. Most of it is just self-validation at someone else's expense.

What is funny is that he takes acting very serious now and thinks he deserves more artsy roles this why he doesnt want to continue in the MCU
