I agree with this. Being semi/promiscuous (regardless of gender) can make a person very jaded, superficial (boring!) and 'spread too thin' so there's no intensity, real sense of purpose or depth of feeling if they do meet someone with potential for more. Add dishonesty (as per the OP) to the mix and a person can become quite a debased version of themselves and much to 'clean up', mentally speaking.

I find women online. Pretty much every single girl out there says in their profile that they're looking for a ltr only, no hook ups/one night stands. I'm not ready for a serious relationship and I just want to hook up so I lie and say I'm looking for a serious relationship. If I don't do this then I disqualify myself from lots of women I want to get with.

I'm not completely opposed to a long term relationship with the right woman, but I have physical needs to address in the meantime until I meet her.

Due to society generally being so negative and harsh on a woman if she says she just wants casual sex and no commitment you will see very few women say that.

There are some out there, like you who are not ready for a relationship for whatever reason but who would like to get out every once in a while and have some fun and potentially have sex if the guy has any game.

If you get her out on a date you should be able to tell pretty soon which camp she is and you can drop hints you are just looking for a dating type situation and she can then decide. You may find that many are ok with that, particularly if they enjoy your company and could see getting out with you every once in a while.
