Darrell Issa labeled as a Racist

You weren't making any point about labeling, you were attacking the idea that brainwashing children to hate people in the opposition party is wrong and a form of abuse.

And of course I'm against brainwashing, and don't let my daughter watch much TV. Like I said, unlike the hacks here, I'm against it no matter who is doing it.

Perhaps you just didn't get my point.

You say I am supporting child abuse now based on your own paranoia.

No, it's based on your post. It's good if you're backtracking on that, but at least admit it. Jeez.

I with you for the most part, but, while asking for valid ID in and of itself is not racist, I'm confident the right did this to suppress the black vote. Even then, I don't know if its racist as much as strategic profiling.

Agreed its a strategic in their methods. I think racism is still a huge problem but what is going on is not racism its more to limit lower income voters. Its going to effect voter turnout as they continue to move the bar. People remember the long lines in Florida and Ohio at the last election its not getting any better in 2014. In fact North Carolina has raised the bar in draconian voting policies. Heck even the Daily Show got a guy to brag about the efforts to suppress the vote. It was freaking amazing how this guy Don Yelton was bragging that he has a black friend LOL. He says it was intentionally to hurt Democratic voting.

Jaysis.. Is that politician for real? Everytime he opened his mouth I saw this in my mind:

RUlAEJo.gif

That resembles Jack and Drowning idiot in this thread.

He's obviously a double racist.

White male? Racist!!!
Republican? Racist!!!

Nothing but hate in his shriveled heart.

My position isn't that all Republicans are threatened by declining white privilege--just that the ones who are are a significant portion of their Southern voters, which is what keeps them from getting completely wiped out in presidential elections and keeps them having solid numbers in Congress. Say that's 20% of the electorate in the South, and they'd split evenly (instead of 20-0 Republican) if the party wasn't playing to those fears. What does that do to the electoral maps? See, when I'm talking, I don't stupidly misrepresent my own positions to make them easier to refute.

And my daughter is too young for all that, anyway.

Is your position above that Republicans perceive a declining white privilege, or that you actually believe there's a decline of white privilege?

My comment was on perception, as that's what panics people. I think that it's based on reality, but it's way ahead of the reality.

I just got off the phone with Sheila Lee Jackson, and not only did she confirm that North and South Vietnam live side-by-side peacefully, she also confirmed Daryl Issa is in fact a "way-sis".

And in all seriousness Jackson makes that idiot Sarah Palin look like Tesla.

This is something that aggravates the hell out of me as well...when any politician does this. Why didn't he just answer the question rather than deflecting?

Because the question wasn't as simple as Hannity was trying to imply. The guy can't read Issa's mind.

So now your little theory about the right has been restricted to just the south now eh?

Yeah if only it weren't for those minorities, then half of the most conservative part of the country would be all over socialism and "sensible gun regulations" and all your other left wing shit...

He simply asked him, do "you" believe...
nothing really about mind reading, or "what did you think he was thinking."

And the answer is, apparently, that he doesn't know. Issa's action was reprehensible, but maybe he just doesn't respect anyone who disagrees with him. It's impossible to say. That's one of Hannity's common games, and I'm always shocked when it works. I remember he had a CIA guy on who had written a book, and the first thing Hannity asks him is, "did you get paid for writing this book?" He's like, what does that matter? And Hannity goes, "I just want our viewers to know your true motivations here. So tell us..." And it went on like that. The guy is a total slimeball propagandist. It was SPF/TCK/CM-level stuff. What was he trying to accomplish here anyway? The Congressman obviously recognized that Issa's action was terrible and obviously thought that racism was a possible reason, but didn't know. Did anyone watching not get that? It's not like the guy was being evasive about anything. He just wasn't giving in to Hannity's phrasing.

The GOP doesn't win much outside the South. And if it weren't for their concern about minorities' status rising, the South wouldn't be the most conservative part of the country. The socialism stuff is ridiculous, of course. You're an 80-year-old man, no? You should be more mature than that.

Then why didn't he answer as such? "I don't know..."

And let me be clear...I believe Sean Hannity to be the worst of the worst in news media.

Because he was avoiding Hannity's stupid propaganda game. The choices were play or don't play. And if you can see what Hannity was doing, why would you have a problem with his response? Again, it's not like he wasn't making his view clear.

We will just have to agree to disagree on this one jack. If he knew about Hannity's propaganda game, why even bother going on his show?
