Television DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN (Premieres March 4, 2025)

I vaguely remember that like it was a surprise appearance by Punisher providing much needed sniper support for DD.

I remember Daredevil walking towards a couple of Hand ninjas. Frank shoots them both and DD walks between them as their bodies hit the floor. Without breaking his stride.

Badass AF.

I rewatched that rooftop scene in S2 finale. DD probably didn't notice Punisher providing sniper support and was exhausted from fighting all the Hand ninjas and their boss. His mask came off and Punisher likely saw his face... if he didn't previously see it.

The more of these Born Again episodes I watch, I feel like I can pick out which scenes were salvaged from the pre-course correction courtroom heavy show. Most of the Ep 4 was probably salvaged footage. I kinda want a superhero show to have a quota of at least 1 superhero costume scene per episode.

Am I the only one that's completely lost on the kingpins story?

It's been so long since I watched the Netflix show, but I don't remember Adam, or an affair, and Vanessa seemed like a completely different person than how she is now.

Another good episode.
Man, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher is one of the best casting choices of all time. And he looked even better here. Like, he looked like shit. More than half crazy and ready to snap. This whole episode was very interesting overall. I'm starting to wonder if it was the corrupt cops who killed White Tiger, or if it was Muse. I know the modus operandi they are setting up for him is true to form as a super creepy serial killer type, but his power set would explain how he could get the drop so effortlessly on Hector. I keep coming back to how Hector didn't realize someone was standing there, and Muse's powers would explain it, if they are keeping with the comics in that regard. Of course, that wouldn't explain the whole punisher skull thing. I dunno. Innnnnteresting

They might be alluding to stuff from Echo and Hawkeye. Didn't watch Hawkeye at all, only watched the pilot of Echo but I think she shot fisk in the finale and they keep mentioning it.

Matt and Frank on screen together is fucking cinema.

That scene was awesome.

Need more of that.

Not sure if crazy but e 4 did feel like it was stitched together from pre and post reshoot content.

I assume all Frank content is new, Bernthal didn't like the original script and walked away from the project.

It’s very good so far but for some reason I was still drawn into the Penguin more ? Not nearly as good of characters but maybe bc the Penguin was so good in that series you just want to see who he screws over next ?

Daredevil used to have a Joker like villain in the comics The Jester , but Marvel killed him off in the mid 80”s could bring him back if Bullseye gets stale never gets boring watching crazy clowns / Jesters do evil on screen .

I gave a pretty scathing and deserved criticism of the first two episodes of this new run of daredevil based on shitty cgi... cgi being used lazily rather than great production during fight scenes, WAY overused shaky cam (I'm not mentally ill and don't see the world shaking during conversations) in place of good direction and terrible audio choices and quality especially when portraying daredevil's special auditory abilities. the fight scenes most especially were absolute dog shit compared to the original.

however the last two episodes seem to have been adjusted based I would guess on feedback about those things. the audio issues are way better and the shaky cam seems to be used more discriminately. its better.

now we have not seen a fight scene yet so there is no way to tell if the director has got it together on that level but so far so good. I enjoyed the last two episodes.

The affair happened after Fisk was shot by Echo at the end of Hawkeye season 1. And if you didn't see that, you missed nothing. It took months for Fisk to recover, time he spent away from Vanessa. It was then she had the affair with Adam.

Matt and Frank was the best scene in the series so far. Even better than Matt and Fisk in the diner.

Nah, it was definitely one of the dirty cops - "Goddamn fan boys" - who killed Hector. White Tiger was focussed on the girl's screams. That's what allowed the Punisher Cop to blindside him.

The brief glimpse of Muse we saw looks exactly like he does in the comics. Down to draining the blood from victims so he can use it for paint.
