Yeah. Might seem kind of strange to some people though. Lots of potentially weird images in there.

Some really cool stuff. I remember seeing this in one of them a long time ago. Always really liked it.

What's that yellow thing that's always on your ankle?

I have issues in with my left ankle from two rough sprains on top of each other while I was in the military. I've found I have less knee pain when I brace that ankle. The brace is old and won't stay tight so I have to duct tape the bastard on there. I just use whatever tape we have in the gym. Yellow, blue, red, whatever.

Yeah probably more than I should. I think this weekend I'll sit down and take note of where I deviated and what impact that had on overall volume/intensity for that cycle.

I'm an impetuous person and when I feel great I have a hard time not taking advantage of it.

That being said I'll try to control myself a bit better as I run #32 for meet-prep starting next week. If I'm able to do this meet I'm keeping a very conservative mindset about it so no need to get carried away.

---Shithouse training today. Felt like a bitch. Everything was heavy.

--Whatever is going on with my ham acted up and I was very hesitant on all the pulls again. Also this hand thing is getting out of control. Felt like needles in my palms. Finally switched to straps after the first set of 460. It even hurt when I benched after.

--A few of the 235 reps felt pretty good but I was still wobbly.

--If this pain in the ham doesn't abate come Monday after a couple days of complete rest I guess I'll have to take it seriously. It's on the inside of my left leg now as well.

---Ham felt good today. No real pain. Minor soreness. Squats were smooth and easy. Did this part at the CF gym after coaching and the reactions to this piddly amount of weight were entertaining. Had fun though.

--Just to play it safe didn't do anything ham/glute wise yet again today.

--So some disappointing news for me. Yesterday my gym owner agreed to cover the entry fee for that meet I wanted to do but couldn't really afford. Then, when I got home my friend told me the meet filled up the day prior. So.... that sucks.

--This was the last day in #30. I had planned on going to #32 for meet-prep but since the meet is no longer an option I suppose I'll start #31 come Monday.

--I'm going to drop my DL training max down to 530 from 540. I can definitely make the sets/reps but I'm not happy with how terrible they look. My speed off the floor is abysmal.

Have you considered trying the modified deadlift programme Cratos and I are running?

No worries. It sort of sucks but it means I don't need to push this hammy thing if it keeps bothering me so... that's one upside. I'll find another convenient one.

Earlier today the organizer for that meet hit me up on the ol' FB and said he can still fit me in if I want. So, fortunate turn of events there. If I can get the check in the mail tomorrow I should be good to go.

Sooo.... #32 on Monday it is I suppose.

Hey man much appreciated. It sounds like it'll be a fun meet and it's too convenient to pass up.

Not sure on attempts yet. I'm really approaching this with a very conservative mind set. I'm not overly concerned with any PR's just getting a PL meet under my belt.

On Wednesday I should be doing max tests as per #32. I'll base the first attempts off of that with very safe openers.

In a perfect world I'd really like to hit 410, 280, 535 for 1225 but it's not a big deal if I don't. Even if I PR'd every lift by 10lbs it'd still be a baby-dick total. I'll just be happy to make weight and hit my lifts. :)

----So, effin great day. I feel very, very contented.

--I screwed up my set up on the 410 squat. I got a little rushed and didn't set my back nearly as well as usual. It felt easy and I attribute the ugliness more to a shit set up than anything else. I'm pretty confident I left some pounds out there.

--Took a fairly easy 280 bench and was on the fence about attempting 90 but my friend showed up so I thought I should take advantage of the unrack. It felt surprisingly good with the lift off. Not sure I'm satisfied with the pause necessarily but I still feel it's countable as a PR.

--Pulls felt great. Everything was fast and easy. Had no doubt about hitting a small PR at least.

--I feel like I left a few pounds out there on each lift. I feel pretty good about that given that this meet is now 3.5 weeks out.

--So this gives me a gym total of 1235. Still pretty weak shit but I feel like my ceiling is still a good bit away so I'm happy to just keep grinding towards a legit total.

--BW at 175 when training.
