Daniel Cormier: “Jones Won’t Win The HW Title”

I would be hyped if somehow D.C. came out of retirement and Jon does make it to fighting at heavy weight. Let's say Jon loses to Nganno or Game and then fights d.c. trying to redeem himself and gets cracked by d.c.
The only person DC is fighting is the one who ate the last piece of chicken in his Popeye’s bucket.

Who cares because he never did. He desperately tried to make an entire career off Jones and failed miserably.
His career did pretty well even without Jones ever crossing his path, ya know UFC 2 division champ, strikeforce HW grand prix winner, Olympic medalist, he never needed Jones. Their rivalry was legendary tho.

Yeah he's on all the Mexican supplements sir.... allegedly lol.

he looks like shit if that's the case though. while he looks big, to be on steroids and look like that is not impressive.

i expect him to look like this but Ngannou sized if he's on the sauce.

i thought you have to actually win a fight in order for it to be a rivalry

Way to skirt the question sir.
Sorry wasnt meant as an avoidance.
But he's actually beat everyone. From recent champions, to undefeated fighters.
You can literally take your pick of best win.

Shogun was a good win but not his best, Gus, DC, to me are his most notable wins.

Theres a reason Jon never even mentioned fighting DC when DC was HW champ.

Oh he did mention it,

“Daniel Cormier is a special athlete and anyone can be beat. I think my greatest chance of losing would be to a guy like Daniel Cormier. We’d be giving him a power and strength advantage over me; it just doesn’t make sense."

<WellThere>
Jon definitely ducked DC at HW, its no wonder he is selling wolf tickets, and will never move up to HW.

If the fat as fuck, stuck in the mud, non-agile, old, whiplashed back version of DC could win and defend the HW title then there's literally zero reason to think Jones also couldn't unless he's just a complete shell of himself. Which DC says he doesn't think he is.

DC just has to say and believe this to be true as it's the only thing he has "over" Jones. Never mind that he literally dropped his LHW belt rather than try and (unsuccessfully) defend again against the then returning Jones, proving he really moved up to hide from him.

He was light hw champ because Jones was sitting on the sidelines thanks to his many fuck ups. It was kind of like Michael Jordan taking two years off the NBA and other people won championships.

DC Was calling out Jones when he was in strikeforce. He never shut his mouth about him. It didn’t pan out. Not in terms of his legacy.

Stipe and Jones are the two big rivalries in his career. He lost them both.

It's totally subjective
Shogun was perhaps one of the worst beatings I've seen of a champion.

I thought Rasahd and Lyoto were his best, in my opinion.

Man, I miss DC. It'll always sting that Jones beat him twice (while juiced up at least once). I think DC could have taken Jones out at HW, but I'm a die-hard fanboy, haha.
As you should be !

Building up a guy he beat twice ….wow can’t believe that would ever happen …..

You cant polish a turd,my young son.

He literally said he wont fight DC at HW,because DC would have the advantage there. I see nay reason why he should "build him up"

He said "nope,i wont do that, sorry fans, hes too good at HW"

and then waited til DC retired to announce he will go to HW,which even that, might not happen.

you can paint whatever narrative you want to fit your argument but DC had a very successful MMA career regardless of Jones or not. He's cemented his legacy and he's set for life from his career. Sure things didn't go his way sometimes but that's just a part of the business.
