The only person DC is fighting is the one who ate the last piece of chicken in his Popeye’s bucket.I would be hyped if somehow D.C. came out of retirement and Jon does make it to fighting at heavy weight. Let's say Jon loses to Nganno or Game and then fights d.c. trying to redeem himself and gets cracked by d.c.
His career did pretty well even without Jones ever crossing his path, ya know UFC 2 division champ, strikeforce HW grand prix winner, Olympic medalist, he never needed Jones. Their rivalry was legendary tho.Who cares because he never did. He desperately tried to make an entire career off Jones and failed miserably.

Sorry wasnt meant as an avoidance.Way to skirt the question sir.
Sorry wasnt meant as an avoidance.
But he's actually beat everyone. From recent champions, to undefeated fighters.
You can literally take your pick of best win.
Theres a reason Jon never even mentioned fighting DC when DC was HW champ.I would be hyped if somehow D.C. came out of retirement and Jon does make it to fighting at heavy weight. Let's say Jon loses to Nganno or Game and then fights d.c. trying to redeem himself and gets cracked by d.c.
generally I guess, but the way things were heated/personal I think it's fair to say it was a bad blood rivalry.i thought you have to actually win a fight in order for it to be a rivalry
Oh he did mention it,Theres a reason Jon never even mentioned fighting DC when DC was HW champ.
Oh he did mention it,
“Daniel Cormier is a special athlete and anyone can be beat. I think my greatest chance of losing would be to a guy like Daniel Cormier. We’d be giving him a power and strength advantage over me; it just doesn’t make sense."
He was light hw champ because Jones was sitting on the sidelines thanks to his many fuck ups. It was kind of like Michael Jordan taking two years off the NBA and other people won championships. His career did pretty well even without Jones ever crossing his path, ya know UFC 2 division champ, strikeforce HW grand prix winner, Olympic medalist, he never needed Jones. It's totally subjectiveShogun was a good win but not his best, Gus, DC, to me are his most notable wins.
This is amazing
As you should be !Man, I miss DC. It'll always sting that Jones beat him twice (while juiced up at least once). I think DC could have taken Jones out at HW, but I'm a die-hard fanboy, haha.
Building up a guy he beat twice ….wow can’t believe that would ever happen …..
you can paint whatever narrative you want to fit your argument but DC had a very successful MMA career regardless of Jones or not. He's cemented his legacy and he's set for life from his career. Sure things didn't go his way sometimes but that's just a part of the business. He was light hw champ because Jones was sitting on the sidelines thanks to his many fuck ups. It was kind of like Michael Jordan taking two years off the NBA and other people won championships.
DC Was calling out Jones when he was in strikeforce. He never shut his mouth about him. It didn’t pan out. Not in terms of his legacy.
Stipe and Jones are the two big rivalries in his career. He lost them both.
