Dana's pettiness is the only thing standing in the way of Jones vs Ngannou

That isn't exactly ambiguous. He said he wanted the fight and asked for more money, and they said no and gave him Gane, then agreed to more money to get Jones on board, offered Francis even more and he said no and left, so Gane got another title shot.

Wrong. Jones didn't sign a new contract until Ngannou was a free agent and didn't get close to what he was demanding previously. You keep pushing this fake narrative.

Mixed rules in the PFL according to Francis, the PFL president, and Wilders manager. Wilder's been training MMA for 2 months now according to them. I watched Ariels show today, they also said it will probably be in Africa or somewhere like that when it happens.
IF fight happens, and i really hope it does, it will be in full boxing and it will be in Las Vegas or Saudi again, no way it happens anywhere else.

This is exactly what came to post. There is a Board of Directors he has to answer to. Does anyone consider the simple possibility that maybe Ngannou's demands priced himself out of the UFC after the board reviewed it and were like nah...? He was asking for a ton of shit. People make Dana out to be Promoter, Owner, Negotiator, Accountant, Lawyer.. and the guy who just got lucky and doesn't do shit. When Dana is more like the person with thick enough skin to relay those tough decisions to the public and the fighters. I am sure if someone asks for 30 million+ that decision comes down to more than just Dana.
His main request was being allowed to box, Im sure if Dana allowed it then Francis would drop the healthcare for everyone bs in 1 second lol

Definitely not lol, any boxing fans he gained likely wont cross over to MMA and MMA fans won't bother paying shit to see him fight bums in PFL.
All the ufc stars are retired including Conor (I'll believe hes back when I see him in the octagon), Khamzat fights once every 2 years and can only do it in Abu Dhabi, whos gonna draw more? Sean Omalley?

Jones will never take that fight, there is a reason he came out of hiding as soon as Francis left.

Stop buying his bullshit.
I'm not so sure the fight with Stipe would have been such a gimme fight for Jones either but he knew he at least had father time on his side for that one and if he could survive all 5 rounds he would have been gifted a controversial decision

Not sure what you think coincidence means, but they were trying to make Jones/Ngannou, and Francis is the one who said no, so they replaced him with Gane as Jones' opponent. It's a not "coincidence" when 1 guy leaves for the other guy to not leave too and take a replacement opponent. Jon said yes, Francis said no.

Jones spent more than 3 years without fighting which at his advanced age for a fighter was basically friterring away the remaining years of his prime. You don't need that long to move from light heavyweight to heavyweight. Jones spent most of that period promoting the idea for such a fight but never agreeing to one - untjl ngannou was released and then almost instantly he signed to fight gane. If u actually believe his narrative about not ducking ngannou, there are some water resorts in the Sahara u may be interested to invest in also...

I'm not sure if there is a slower, more smooth brained group in the mma community than those that think Jones would fight Francis for less than 100 million

So Jones would waste the last years of his prime sitting on the sidelines waiting for a 100 m fight with ngannou which he abd everyone knows ufc will never agree to but immediately agree to a fight for far far less with gane the moment ngannou is gone from the ufc?

Isn't rhe more likely possibility that Jones was ducking ngannou?

You think the UFC should help make other organizations big ? For what. Co promote my ass. They are dominating.
The Saudis investment in pfl may be the beginning of the end for ufc being regarded as the most popular promotion given the low proportion of the revenue it gets that are spent on fighter pay.

I think the Saudi’s plan on taking over combat sports and the result is going to be fans leaving the sport in the US. Mid day cards aren’t going to fly regularly

They are not going to move all the fights geographically to Saudi Arabia. Owning the organisation and the roster of fighters and using them to promote the country. That is ehat the Saudis are doing with soccer already as they own Newcastle fc while the u.a.e. owns Manchester City and psg.

Jones is younger than Francis, who just sat out for nearly 2 years.

Ngannou wasn't the champ when Jones relinquished the LHW belt, Stipe was. You thought coincidentally Jones just became super persuasive and talked them into a bigger contract like the same day Francis left? The new contract was for him to fight Francis, and Francis was offered like $8 million for it too but said no and left, so they still gave Jones his title fight but they had to make it against Gane.

Of course Jones was confident after watching Francis get outstruck by Gane and having to panic wrestle, which wouldn't even be an option against Jones, while Francis losing would ruin any hopes of ever boxing, so he asked for an extended time off to box and they said no.

They already legitimatized the competition by letting their heavyweight champion walk. And Jones only has one more fight regardless.

Blame Pride for burning the co promotion bridge.

thats exactly what I was implying lol. Even if UFC did agree to play ball with Francis now, Jones would intentionally/knowingly price himself out because he just flat out does not want the fight. even if UFC agreed, hed just move the goalpost and ask for more or "get injured"

Biggest losers:

"1. Dana White
The UFC CEO's relationship with Ngannou became more toxic each time the former heavyweight champion pushed for change to how MMA fighters are treated behind the scenes. But forget how petty White has been in not only disparaging Ngannou at every turn, but refusing to place the world title around his waist after Ngannou defeated Gane at UFC 270. And forget just how badly the "fumbled the bag" crowd got it wrong when talking about Ngannou, since the exact same petty accusation can now be hurled back at the sport's most successful promoter. Remember, this is the same promotion that recently ran an incorrect graphic stating that Tafon Nchukwi was the first Cameroonian fighter to compete in the Octagon, which was seen as yet another dart being thrown at Ngannou. Yet, from a business standpoint, the way in which White allowed his personal grievances with Ngannou to affect company decisions should now be closer examined. UFC is now contractually out of capitalizing on Ngannou's exploits following the Fury fight (since PFL now holds exclusive MMA rights), which means it's unable to make MMA's biggest fight of Jones-Ngannou. An argument can be made that Ngannou was probably the perfect fighter White could've used for his recurring attempt to get his spin-off company, Zuffa Boxing, off the ground. UFC could've served as the co-promoter for the Fury fight and all of Ngannou's other boxing exploits moving forward. Instead, White has tossed his money and all of his attention into Power Slap, which can only be seen as an insult to all of the MMA fighters on the UFC roster for how shamelessly White is promoting defenseless violence. The biggest regret, however, for White should be that he let one of combat sports' most wholesome and inspirational figures walk away rather than be the leading storyteller tasked with weaponizing his incredible life story as a way to only make the UFC brand even more profitable. "

Scumbag media!

Scum of the earth - they make me sick!

Now that Francis is out of the UFC, the UFC is no longer controlling the narrative. Media is not getting their takes on Francis from Dana and UFC anymore, but from Francis, Marquel, Saudis, boxing promoters, etc.. None of these guys are UFC mouthpieces. Dana and UFC just lost control of the narrative entirely. It must be like a bomb shelter over at UFC HQ yesterday and today, lol. They are still conspicuously silent. The combat sports world is talking LOUDLY and BUSILY and UFC has chosen to sit it out and not participate.

Lol.

The irony.

Your posts in the last few days have been some of my favourite. It wasn't until reading this that I fully realized what it meant that Ngannou had freed himself from MMA media, with it's obsequence to Dana White and the UFC. You're absolutely right: the bigger media at large is talking about him now and they're not going to repeat Dana's nonsense.

May. We're still far from that.
