Is he lying?

Can't make it anymore clear for you than your own words and the definition. Sorry you can't grasp something that simple.
Here are my words
Not really. If Dana DIDNT OFFER him the fight and Thompson just said those things in the general context of finding him an opponent then it’s pretty misleading to say that he turned it down since it WASNT ACTUALLY OFFERED, even though he may well have turned it down had it been offered.
I highlighted the relevant portions for you since you didn’t read them the first time

Remember Usman called out WB not too long ago. WB might be angling for that fight instead since a win would be a guaranteed TS.

Pretty sure he means Wonderboy turned down a fight against Ian Garry tonight (UFC 292), as a short noticed replacement for Geoff Neal. He means Wonderboy could have fought Ian Garry instead of Neil Magny

Good grief some of you.....<45>

I agree that's probably what he's referring to, however, the reporter literally gives him an opportunity to clarify by asking "You talked to him like...right after?" and Dana very artfully decides to non-answer by saying "Look, we try to make fights here blah blah".

It's clearly designed to throw shade and it is insightful, imo, to how their relationship is souring over UFC 291.

Remind me again why we should be paying this guy?

Was gonna stay in but the Tams Burgers cravings are too strong. About to eat nice burger and some chilli cheese fries

That’s fine, but then take him out if rankings and give him guys ranked 25 to 40 range to fight and tell him he won’t fight for a title again. Bam solves the issue of WB cherry picking and Dana worrying about finding him a ranked guy to fight for possible title aspirations. The old guy treatment is what I would call it.

I think he knows he’s not getting a title shot ever. He just doesn’t want to be a gatekeeper to up and comers or get held down by a grappler. Wants fun fights.

Damn Dana went from never booking fights the night of an event to calling wonderboy to fight within 1 minute of a callout.
I didn’t read the whole thread so assume this has already been corrected, but pretty sure he is talking about offering Wonderboy the Garry fight before it was offered to Magny on short notice

It's a sacrifice fight anyway..

Wonderboy shouldn't want that fight, he's like 40, he should only have a legend fight and retire.

The Garry fight would be unnecessary damage when he's about to retire anyway..

Wonderboy has been pretty explicit about wanting to fight strikers. I can't see him turning down a striker with a ton of momentum behind him.
I could see something like, them calling wonderboy "hey did you see Garry let's get you on msg together." Wonderboy "sure I'll sign as soon as I get my show money for the canceled fight" Dana " wonderboy turned it down"

I get the feeling Dana is just mad with Thompson and creating lies, yet again

Everything that tub of shit says is a lie or complete exaggeration. Ever notice how he starts every press conference with "tonight we had the biggest gate ever and largest attendance ever in the history of this venue". He'll say the same thing after the next PPV.

Fucking Dana trying to strong arm him into taking the fight like he has to decide right there on the spot leaving zero room to negotiate? Dana is a POS for putting that out there and salty asf that Wonderbread spoke up!

Hopefully WB gets in on the lawsuit.

Can't wait till dana is gone.

Damn Dana went from never booking fights the night of an event to calling wonderboy to fight within 1 minute of a callout.
Exactly this. Dana full of shit and super butt hurt that Wonderboy didn't bend the knee and fight an outright cheater.
