Dana White: "Travis Browne should retire."

Travis needs to regain that fire in his eyes which I don't think will happen again. Coming up he was hungry and motivated. Now, living the Hollywood life with Rhonda it's evident that the killer instinct needed at this level just isn't there. Too bad. He was looking like a future champ early on

Browne/ Black Beast 2, then 3 then 4 then 5. It will never stop being funny.

Dana is a sick mofo.

It is kinda okay for us on Sherdog to half jokingly piss on fighters. Dana calls the shots and boss them around in a such a manner, that looks sorta cruel.
He's just letting the world know that he has no interest in paying Browne anymore, so all the B-orgs can prepare their offers.

Poor Travis he just doesn't have it anymore his chin is gone. Soon as he gets hit he start doing the baby giraffe walk and he'll never recover.

Why?

He could dominate or do very well in Bellator.

Should Overeem retire he has been brutally k.o. 7x in mma and put away by strikes a total of 10x in mma (11 if you include him tapping to strikes to Arona). And actually yeah Overeem should retire after his next title shot assuming he losses.

Against some unknown can Heavies, sure. I'd be more interesting in watching LHW's like King Mo and Liam beat his ass.

Brownes career has been very odd. I never saw him as title material but I certainly bought into the idea that he was long-standing contender.

Some comments in this thread have been excellent, things I'd never picked up on but make total sense. One guy said that, for a guy of his size, Browne never looks particularly strong and almost slightly feeble. I agree. If you're a 6ft 7in HW regularly coming in

Around 235lbs or so, you need to compensate somewhere. You either have to be a slick AND effective striker, a KO artist/killer, or be an excellent wrestler or submission artist.

Browne is, and never has been, any of the above, really.

He used to have faith in his chin and ability to outlast guys. That faith has gone, and it aint coming back. His confidence is completely shot.

But it couldn’t happen to a more dislikeable guy!

No no no no, he should keep on fighting so I can laugh some more when he gets KTFO and earn some money betting against him.

Of all my picks that went wrong tonight, this one irked me the most.
Q: How the fuck does he keep Gonzaga and Barnett from taking him down and submitting him, but this guy gets it done?
A: Yeah, I know, 12-6 elbows to the back of the head, but still.

And I'm not shitting on this dude; he's got some sick subs, but this fight was literally made as a gift to Travis.

He burned me too dude I always thought Travis was my lucky charm because I met him in Vegas the night he fought Barnett his room in the Mgm was right near mine,
Parlayed him with Ronda and Jim miller and he was a decent dog, can't remember the odds but I got 400 dollars from like 60

......this fight here though was literally UFC throwing him a bone
And he fucked it up and my wallet
Prick

He needs to fight pillow-fisted punchers with poor standup defense. For the record: there's no excuse for domestic violence.

Travis just tweeted that he doesn't want retirement to make a name off of him.
