Dana White: "Travis Browne should retire."

Yeah I never quite got that move he was having great success with them, beating highly touted guys like Overeem and Barnett. His move to Edmond was career suicide in hind site when you look at his career after he made the move. Also Derrick Lewis was spot on when talking about Browne does the "baby deer" after he gets rocked typically for the remainder of the fight. I am no doctor but just going off observation it seems getting rocked effects him more so than most any fighter I have ever seen. I thought he would be able to get past Alexey, but it all goes downhill for him once he has been hurt.
IIRC, he said that he left Jack-Wink because he wasn't getting enough individual attention(which is generally what you hear from fighters that walk away from that camp). But, it's hard to argue with results, and his career post-JW is certainly proof of that.
As far as the baby deer legs, I think that's a symptom of having such fucking LOOOOOONG limbs more than anything - it's always these tall guys that you see their knees swapping sides when they get rocked.

I really do hope that he goes back to them before his career is over, I really want to see if JW can revamp a once LEGIT title contender. It would honestly be REALLY disappointing to see Browne's career end like this, he still has so much potential and is a pretty unique HW

Why did he leave Jackson anyway?
for dat ass

Should retire isn't the same as "I am going to make you retire, Chuck".

Not to mention they used up every last drop of his blood fighting almost every single killer at heavy weight. All he needs now is an ass whooping by Mark Hunt. Just think about it here for a sec, Travis was getting knocked out left and right and they still eagerly rubbed their hands together while allowing him to sign another ass beating. Picture Kazuyuki Fujita.

I said the exact same thing earlier but formed differently I told someone " He is so athletic and talented, it is crazy how he almost finds ways to lose." You can't teach chin and heart though.

His heart is gone you can tell he wanted out his taken to many beatings he need to retire.

Nah, Travis Browne should go back to Jack-Wink. He was a title contender with them and his performance absolutely fell off a cliff AS SOON AS he left.
Go back to Jack-Wink, take, say, a 9 month break, and focus on revamping his style from the ground up - THAT is what needs to happen

But would he even be taken back if he tried that? I seem to recall Greg Jackson saying something like Browne wouldn't be welcomed back after he had dissed them, claiming he got taught almost nothing there.

He's taken too much damage and fallen too low to be a contender again. Greg Jackson didn't help BJ any

let pierre do what he wants man. seriously who the fuck is connor mcgregor compared to an actual legend like pierre who actually defended his belt MULTIPLE TIMES for YEARS.... that alone earns him any right over a guy like mcgregor who was allowed to call his own shots. i hate that shit i hate how money fucking dictates everything man. BUT pierre was also a money maker so he should have that advantage as well... Dana white is just a fucking bitch and doesnt like Pierre.. takes everything personal like a little girl thats the fucking problem here. Dana seriously he even has a bitch name.

Are you going to copy this post into every random thread that has nothing to do with this post? Seriously get a life.

Travis needs to either retire or take a massive step down in competition and overhaul his training. He looks like complete garbage out there right now.

After the first round he looked completely defeated and broken going back to his corner. The guy has zero confidence.

So much lost potential. Dude could have been a great HW.

Pretty much this. The guy has talent but it seems like Ronda and Edmond filled his head with malware.

Polite way of saying I really don't want to release another HW for Bellator to take.

Of all my picks that went wrong tonight, this one irked me the most.
Q: How the fuck does he keep Gonzaga and Barnett from taking him down and submitting him, but this guy gets it done?
A: Yeah, I know, 12-6 elbows to the back of the head, but still.

And I'm not shitting on this dude; he's got some sick subs, but this fight was literally made as a gift to Travis.

It was the pick I bet on that I was by far the most sure of and the only one I got wrong. I was fucking baffled. Browne looked like utter dogshit. He's mentally broken.

Dana is a sick mofo.

It is kinda okay for us on Sherdog to half jokingly piss on fighters. Dana calls the shots and boss them around in a such a manner, that looks sorta cruel.
its okay for you to go to your refrigerator and grab a bottle of water...take a sip, put it back inside your fridge...go back to your room then take a nap.

Travis isn't done, he just needs to fight his ex and get his confidence back up

I agree. The Werdum and Cain losses are completely understandable, he was supposed to lose those fights, but the top 10 fighter I thought he was should've beat both Black Beast and Oliynik. He's just not that good. Maybe he never was.

Has he ever won a fight by turning it into a brawl? No, he hasn't. Incredibly dumb decision on his part to just throw haymakers after rocking Oliynik and gas himself out.
