Dana White has absolutely ruined the UFC in the last few years, especially this year

whether or not it's Dana isn't clear to me but I do know all this holding out for career changing money is ruining the sport.

I think every current UFC executive needs to be fired and cast into the sea

More serious response: Dana is definitely part of the problem, but the bigger issue is WME’s and now TKO’s corporate culture. That’s why I suggested cleaning house because that comes from the top and any replacements could fall into the same behaviors.
My take exactly.

The UFC is becoming what Dana White always hated about Boxing, the only fights that were good was Alex vs Ankalaev 1, Merab vs Umar, other than that, 2025 has shown nothing good:

-Barely stripped Jon of the title after fans begged him to do it for many months or even 2 years since Aspinall became interim champion.
-Attempts to promote Boxing, which rivals the UFC.
-Refused to book Volk and Movsar despite both fighters appealing for the fight.
-Has put together increasingly scrappier and more mediocre fight cards as time goes on.
-Refuses to make Super fights, no Valentina vs Zhang, no Tom vs Jon, ilia vs Islam...and the list goes on.
-Barely promotes fights (no face to face interviews, mediocre fight posters, lazily announcing fights on Instagram live whilst trying desperately to sounds remotely passionate about the sport)
-Other than him releasing Mokaev and refusing to sign Francis back but Francis doesn't want it either way to save the HW division, also he has been releasing fighters who are winning at HW, like Martin Buday, Alexander Romanov, Rozenstruik whom lost to top HW Pavlovich...and some of these talented HW's, and many unfair releases of fighters.
-Barely books title fights which adds more excitement to the UFC, he keeps one shotting the fans, hypes the fans first and then ONE SHOT, he lied to fans about he will make a fight that will drive people crazy, like saying he will make Tom vs Jon but didn't.
-Overpricing everything and underpaying the fighters, gives wrong bonuses to fighters, like Dustin vs Max 3 didn't win FOTN or Holland vs D-Rod but Vettori vs Hernandez which wasn't that "WOW" or didn't give Reyes any POTN despite coming back to W column, or no POTN in the last event of Taira.
-He still doesn't want to give Russian fighters title shots even if they solidified their position for title fights, or denying No. 1 contenders title shots like Virna Jandiroba.
-Like, at least book more fights for WMMA, the Women champions are inactive af, Zhang Weili hasn't fought for 6 months but DDP who fought with her on same card is gonna make his next title defense in a few days.
-Some MMA Legends like: Frank Shamrock, Tim Sylvia, Dan Henderson, Mirko Cro Cop...and among others are still not in the UFC but rather inducts guys who win TUF and few title fights to the UFC HOF.

Do you believe Dana White should retire?

Well little fellla -- that's a mighty big bone you've got to pick!

It’s hard to blame Dana for all of this, he is probably the one guy that IS trying to make shit happen in a room full of suits. He has most likely lost passion as he’s lost control as well, nothing he says or does means anything. People can shit on him but before WME/TKO that bald headed fuck was making shit happen and the UFC was firing on all cylinders.

If you want to blame place it on TKO as they are handling the WWE but even worse than they are the UFC currently.

dana has done so much for the sport and i really think we would be looking at a fully tainted product if he wasn't around at the start of it all and at the start of the sale.

i also think danas personal bias and ego has prevented a lot of good from happening as well over the years so it goes both ways a bit. hes still helping the sport in some ways while hurting it in others.

I blame the jones aspinall issue mostly on dana too.

Dayna is just a front man. The media companyvrhat owns the ufc calls the shots

Dana isn't the boss like he was because the TKO influence is making UFC like a WWE stuff. We have more smokescreen and promotional silly stuff than knowing what's happening. There's a reason all the biggest stars — Pereira, Dricus, Chimaev, JJ, Aspinall, etc. are radio silent... They don't even say who they are gonna fight... It's like they are gathering fights done in secret for a documentary series or... They're just letting the biggest stars out until they can get the timing for the fights that better benefits them...

None of the fighters have personalities anymore either. Everything is fake or hyped up and not believable. Same goes for the bimbos like Nina that are forced on us and don't add anything aside from a pair of boobs for the incells to jerk off to.

They need to bring back Condom Depot, let fighters pick their own shorts, allow real feuds to happen and let fighters be themselves and not some robotic Connor fake hype goofs.

I was nodding along until said make more wmma fights.
Make any fights, that's what matters, especially title fights, like, there are women who are title holders, title fights is what excites fans, and Dana has been lacking in booking them, what happened to 2 title fights on a 1 card more often? Also 3 title fights too, last one he did was 4 years ago at UFC 261 in 2021 after 2 events previously, he made one with 3 title fights at UFC 259!!!!

seriously doubt it's dana's fault entirely. he takes his orders from a few other guys at the top, he doesn't have as much autonomy as a lot of people around here apparently think.

It's been a seriously rough year with the Jon situation and Poatan losing his aura. Hoping Topuria can save it, UFC desperately needs a star.

It could have been Aspinall, he might have beaten Jones and Poetan if things worked out. At least he's got a fight now, but he's pretty much out of opponents, that's why I hope Poetan goes up and fights him.

This is an investment not a passion project like it was at one time. Dana stopped caring when he wasnt in charge anymore. It is a corporation running a sports league to make money. Thats why it is the way it is now. The only way that will change is Elon or some other billionaire came in bought it and changed the whole thing

Yeah Let's fire them all and get Scott Coker and Bjorn Rebney to run the UFC..Or maybe Don Davis... Oh wait.. there have been no successfully run MMA orgs.

Careful what you wish for.

Like these fucking Hollywood suits at TKO know a goddamn thing about MMA? UFC already has a brand, audience, and lucrative media deals. Anyone can run the business side of it on autopilot; only one that has to be knowledgeable is the matchmaker.
