Arlovski is legend, and somehow keeps posting W's against all odds. What Dana really means is that he can pay some younger guys a lot less and keep the show going just fine, so Andre might want to retire before we unceremoniously shitcan him.

Dana is stating concern for Arlovski; but is very unlikely to take any action to positively affect the former champ's financial security if Arlovski retires.

Would be interesting to see what (if any since I'm going to pretend like I know the fight business) the financial benefit for hiring these former champs as legit UFC representatives to create content, cultivate new talent, or just be the face of a goodwill outreach division.

While the latter might be just virtue signaling, it's standard practice and may do both direct and indirect good where needed.
And it'd communicate that the UFC really cares about its athletes.
