Media Dana White: Andrei Arlovski should consider retirement

How much is Andrei being paid these days? It probably isnt cheap considering hes an ex champ and has been in the profession for almost 25 years. Dana probably sees it draining the UFC bank account but does not really want to release Andrei himself so he lets him consider retirement

Arlovski has always bounced back in the past every time he got put out, I think they should give him a couple more if he wants it. It's not like the fight was a blowout. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take a few other HW noobs to decision after this fight.

That's not his problem, it's Arlovski's and his team problem. They decide, not Dana. Dana should just pay the man for his efforts and be quiet, because it's in the contract. Ah, and offer him 3 fights per year until the end of the contract, don't forget will ya?

WAR ARLOVSKI!!

21 UFC loses, been KO/TKO 12 times......yea, time to retire.

This is a classic case of nice vs. kind.

Dana is stating concern for Arlovski; but is very unlikely to take any action to positively affect the former champ's financial security if Arlovski retires.
His words are worthless.

Would be interesting to see what (if any since I'm going to pretend like I know the fight business) the financial benefit for hiring these former champs as legit UFC representatives to create content, cultivate new talent, or just be the face of a goodwill outreach division.

While the latter might be just virtue signaling, it's standard practice and may do both direct and indirect good where needed.
And it'd communicate that the UFC really cares about its athletes.

Anyway he's not wrong. UFC's been feeding the up and comers to him for a while, which is why he is still here, but there had to be an end to that too,and this might be it.

Soon to be 34 wins and 30 losses. 45 years of age. What is bro doing?

He knows Andrei is going to follow in his eastern europeans brethrens streps and fight til hes 62, with the last 5 years being in russia after leaving south korea. Dana sighs everytime Andrei gets on a card, 300K gone.
