an injury related tko is a tko. its what goes on your fight record. it is a tko loss. it shouldnt be treated differently.
jones vs shogun does count for more than jones vs reyes. shoguns opponents record at the time was near 75% win rate. reyes opponent average win percentage was under 60%. you get way more ponts based on schedule and how hard your opponents past schedule was. also more points if your past opponents have a high finish rate. if you finished shavkat rahmakav right now with him being 18-0, has finished every fight, and never been rocked you will get near max points for that category.
i dont think its a flaw at all in any way. and not even close to being an "obvious" flaw as it does take into account the opponent and how convincing the win is.
oh i got your point and you clearly dont understand that they do value those wins differently....Of course it should be treated differently, context matters. Numbers never tell the whole story, which is why their system is inherently flawed.
You didn't even get my point about the Shogun vs. Reyes wins. I wasn't talking about the strength of the opponent, I was talking about how convincing the win was. Again, context matters here. Dominating and then finishing somebody counts for more than arguably losing the fight but getting gifted a close decision.
