Chimaev can't fight in USA due to visa. Why woudn't he be able to fight in South Africa as an example? He is not restricted from traveling there. People don't think much.

ya got a point. South Africa may let him in. I just doubt he'll get a work visa in any Western nation (US, Aus, Canada, EU). Do you think the UFC and ESPN can cut a deal to have an event in SA and broadcast from there? Do they have a viable arena? I don't know the details.

take a look at the first page, SA listed, but no date yet. Dana has been discussing it for a while; they have 2 arenas there, but they weren't ideal, but he said he got something that will work for what's its worth. I don't think Chimaev is banned from Western Block countries, may be a portion will give him a hard time time with a visa, but he should be able to travel with his new passport. Either way, he doesn't fight that much, so touche.

Good, what a great fight to put on. I think DDP gets him after being on his back for a while, we really don't know how good Chimaev is yet, imagine he goes and crushes his face in half like he did to Whittaker too?

We'll see. There's a lot of weird things on that schedule. 4 Middle East dates last year, but only 1 this year. A tentative South Africa date. Nothing for China. An event in Iowa??? I think there's only one real shot so far to see Chimaev fight this year and that's in Abu Dhabi. That fight needs to happen though, somewhere, one way or another.

Couple of observations:

• If there is possible Spain in August does that mean Topuria is fighting in the next month or two because otherwise how do you do a Spain card without Topuria on it?
  
  
• Jones vs. Aspinall needs to be at UFC 318, period. I would love it to be quicker than that but that would be the best main event for that card.
  
  
• Alex Pereira could do the funniest thing and be on like 4 cards this year again.
  
  
• Let's get Pena vs. Harrison out the way by May. This way if Harrison wins they can do Nunes/Harrison in November or December. Same with Fiorot vs. Shevchenko. This way if Shevchenko wins you can do Weili vs. Shevchenko. Nunes/Harrison and Weili/Shevchenko are actually 2 WMMA fights people might want to see.

There's zero interest in seeing a coming out of retirement mother Amanda. Very good observations otherwise.

I'll just never understand this zoomer sentiment where followers/likes is the one thing that matters. Completely obsessed with numbers and never the actual content. Sorry for being of an older gen with another mindset.

If you visit the account on IG you'll see that some of these posted a month ago, now got confirmed just a few days ago. 314 in Miami on the exact same date, and 315 being the one in Montreal in May.

Even if some of these will be a miss (obviously, since it's only in the planning stage)... who tf cares? I posted for discussion and speculations, haha.
