I pretty much gave up on consuming MMA journalism because it panders to Dana so much it's completely uninteresting. It could be thriving source of content keeping people tapped into the scene but instead no one recognizes anyone outside of Ariel and no one watches much of any of it.

WME of all companies knows even when the press isn't always positive it's almost always profitable so I'm kind of surprised they are letting Dana still directly involved himself in this and haven't told him to go focus elsewhere so they can get a PR person in their with thicker skin.

Dustin took to twitter and announced this fight was off. Bald Goof jumped on the phone and Dustin got what he was asking for money wise. Then Dana slapped his wife, blamed the media, then slapped his wife again.

Reading between the lines it sounds like they were still negotiating. Hunter was trying to get Dustin to agree to some term he didn't want and Dustin went public and said the fight was off as a tactic.

Sounded like the negotiation part was whether it was 5 rounds at 299 or 3 rounds at 300.

That's a quote from his trainer, Dana's roid rage comes from that interview, BSD obviously didn't tell anyone that he has accepted the fight so in their view he found out when Dana announced it, it has nothing to do with evil mma journalists, its literally his trainer on video saying that.

The trainer should maybe talk to his manager then, because his manager was giving interviews less than a week after it was announced taking credit for making the fight happen. Someone made a thread with the video, and the manager was saying he'd been working on it for months and didn't tell Benoit because he wanted it to be a surprise, but Dana obviously did speak to Benoit directly.
