Media Dana posts BSD text message, attacks MMA Fighting journalist

"Attacks"? Lmao Dana proved they lied out their ass and / or are incompetent.

Nice job though you cucks.

Text messages to and from BSd is the same as a signed contract from Dustin?
Why has Dustin himself been promoting the fight for weeks ever since it was announced, and how can he announce it's "off", if he'd never agreed to it in the first place?

The Bald Father isn't always the bad guy.

Reading between the lines it sounds like they were still negotiating. Hunter was trying to get Dustin to agree to some term he didn't want and Dustin went public and said the fight was off as a tactic.

Those text messages were on Jan 7th when was the fight announced?

Who in their right mind would tell Dana anything if they wanted it to be kept on the DL for a bit.

Exactly what is there to negotiate here?

- Dustin is already on contract, his pay is known
- Dustin sure as shit isn't suddenly up for a pay raise after being KO'd in his last fight
- Both Dustin and BSD are LWs
- We can see from the BSD text that it was already known it would be 5 rounds instead of 3 AND the co-main event for UFC 299 (March 9)

Pay, weight, fight length, and date were all known before the fight was even announced, let alone where we are today almost a month later.

If you want to read between the lines if anything after Dustin said yes a few weeks passed and he saw how other matchmaking played out and he decided that actually he wasn't comfortable fighting a dangerous #11 compared to what everybody else was doing. So Dustin tried to leverage the fact he hadn't yet signed a contract, even if he'd said he would take it and had been promoting it for the last 3 weeks, and pulled this stunt. At 5 weeks out it's not exactly like the UFC can pull together another good co-main event for the Suga card they want to succeed.

Good for him if he succeeded in whatever stunt he was trying, but the UFC obviously aren't the bad guys here. Dustin was.

He is supposed to make an effort to confirm things he's hearing. A journalist's job isn't just to transcribe what someone said to him one time.

He was interviewing someone on camera and that is what they said. Not like he took anything out of context.. you can hear it directly from the coach's mouth.

Why is cruz commenting on it then if he doesn't know?

He posted a video of the coach saying it on video. Not like he came up with it out of thin air.

It'd be like Ariel Helwani asking a coach on his show a question and then Dana calling Ariel a liar because of what the coach said. Fucking stupid.

Dana announced it 3.5 hours later on X at 11:59

So yeah, there's a lot of full of shit going around from the other sides if Dana's texting BSD at 8:36 that it's done.

Pretty clear he was countering the "journalist's" comment that BSD found out after it was announced... this part...

"Benoit was sleeping when news broke. His wife woke him up saying, ‘Hey, you’re fighting Poirier’ [laughs]”

That's clearly not the case, nor should the announcement come as a surprise to BSD given the receipts have been provided.
That's a quote from his trainer, Dana's roid rage comes from that interview, BSD obviously didn't tell anyone that he has accepted the fight so in their view he found out when Dana announced it, it has nothing to do with evil mma journalists, its literally his trainer on video saying that.
