I actually had Garcia winning 2 of 3 rounds. I don't think he should get cut based on that performance.
I mean seriously. Any snob who says "I don't want to see a sloppy slugfest" should have to be hooked up to an EKG while watching Frye-Takayama.

UFC needs to stop cutting exciting fighters, period.
What they NEED to do is cut boring fighters after a boring performance win.
Dana knows that the "Just Bleed" crowd orders about 80% of the PPVs and buys about 99% of the Tapout shirts.
And tell me you as a "smart fan" don't get amped up when two guys are just wailing on each other in the center of the cage. It's part of the reason we like combat sports; no fight fan has ever sat on their hands through a slug fest and said "that was boring."
He's lost 4 straight and doesn't even look like he can hang with the lower tier fighters. Since when is closing your eyes and throwing haymakers exciting?? He's a banger no doubt but he's not really good IMO. It's sad Dana and zuffa stand by fighters who are exciting and lose all the time, than fighters who dominate and win all the time. Maybe that's what's wrong with the UFC.

Such a true statement. you have summed up my thoughts perfectly. I don't want to watch a wet blanket contest. People try to pretend to be educated fans by "appreciating" 2 guys dry hump each other.
My only issue with keeping guys like Garcia is that I watch pro mma to see who is the best, and his spot could be filled by someone better, who might actually mount a title run or actually improve. However, I understand other people see it as pure entertainment for entertainment's sake, and I thought he looked a lot better than usual last night, and imo he did deserve the win. But yeah, brawls are entertaining but empty.
If he was cut, we would still be able to see him on a smaller stage.
Or watch Worldstarhiphop.
I'd rather watch Leonard Garcia fight his ass off win or lose as i get ready for the main card, than watch Derek Brunson or Yushin Okami bore the poptarts out of me.
they eventually cut Joe Daddy, so there will be a point where Garcia is going to have to get some wins
