Media Dana Hints USADA reason for Rumble Leaving

Bellator could have all sorts of currently elite UFC caliber fighters still in or near their prime, but can't seem to get the big time viewership no matter what.
To the masses the UFC is MMA. Bellator is better off making freak show fights or celebrity fights to say least attempt to draw viewers in.

Like EliteXC and Kimbo. They had Kimbo to draw in viewers but then they had Robbie Lawler and other legit fighters to showcase legit skills and fights.

USADA hurting the UFC yet again, and helping the competition. Damn man, let them juice and bang. Pro sports deserve athletes that are willing to shorten their lives to be the best they can be in their primes.

I couldn't agree more. People act like Jones being a wrecking machine and the trt rex and Anderson silva doing what he did and our fave fighters being able to fight at later ages was a bad thing

Now we get chicks and 7th graders cuz the bigger guys can't keep up without it and a ton of boring decisions.

You forgot to say “bro”

Pays prelim fighters better? Cause some are barely making 2,000 per fight or headliners? You really believe their main event fighters are making 5 million plus like Jones has said hes made or Conor makes well north of? Or do you mean mid card fighters who can make 200,000 to 400,000 for the Ufc?

Rory MacDonald made 60k in his title fight against Robbie Lawler for the belt.

Not sure what mid card fighter pulling 200-400k, only ones I can think of is the over paid HW's.

Never said it pays everyone better.

Rory, Larkin, Moose, Corey all left because it pays them better. Certain fighters make more fighting in Bellator and its a shit thing to imply about someone because they want to make more money.

You gotta factor in sponsors too. I don't think sponsor money is reported in fighter pay from the orgs. Fighters are allowed to keep their sponsors in Bellator, not in the UFC. Right?

Thats also a good point. Guys with sponsors or businesses of their own would def take that into comsideration. A guy like Rumble can prob generate some well paying sponsors. I know he also has his iwn businesses he might want to advertise as well.

If it's doping - isn't Dana hurting the legitimacy of how serious the UFC are about doping by saying it's all up to Rumble if he wants to disclose it?

If they were truly serious and disgusted by PEDs, wouldn't they he was kicked out for it?

Now (IF it's roids) they're treating it as if it's no big deal to try to get into the UFC on peds, they won't make a big deal out of it if you get caught.

Not that this is anything new given how they treated Brock, but still...

100% about the dollars. Fighter bashing by Dana AGAIN. This dude is crazy the way he treats his "independent contractors."

Ufc fighters have a lot more social media followers and they sponsor shit all over that. They have sponsors. Just not in the cage or official ufc events.

Guys, the UFC is the A league where PEDs are regulated and so much harder to use than the little leagues.

Oh wait, Jones exists and actually had an entire organization cover for him multiple times. Nevermind.

Rumble is allowed to disclose to usada prior use before reentering the program. If he flags for those substances he can’t fight yet but he isn’t sanctioned. And they don’t disclose it.

And they suspended brock for 2 years.

Bellator isn't paying anyone 500k
You're probably right no one is getting paid 500K on the regular. Rory got 500K in 2017 (https://mmaimports.com/2017/11/rory-macdonald-massive-bellator-salary-bit-coin/) but he's gone down now.

Buuut Lima got 1 mil for beating Rory in the WW Grand Prix

Other than that, no one seems close to 500K. Highest payouts I could find in mma-media from 2019-2020:
Fedor: 300K flat
Patricio Freire: 200K flat
Bader: 150K flat
Machida: 150K flat
Mousasi: 150K flat
Chandler: 100K+100K
Caldwell: 125K flat
Bendo: 85K

You realize he talked about it on video? He admitted it himself. That would be enough evidence in my country to get him a ban in track and field, swimming, road racing, running...etc
Do you have think he would have talked about it if there were such serious consequences?

such a weird take on the prospects, every major promotion tries to get prospects they think will be future champions lmao

Dana is on some crack

Funny how Dana never mentions anything for Brock and his storied 'roided past.
