Because more than likely Jon Jones has told the UFC he won't fight Aspinall. That means either he retires, or he fights Stipe. And Jon Jones sells PPVs, and the UFC want money. So they're willing to sell out and screw over Aspinall to make some money.

I haven't bought a UFC PPV since they got rid of cableTV PPV's, but even lately the best thing i did was get rid of the ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu bundle and switch to MAX/Disney+/Hulu bundle.
