Media Dana confirms Jon Jones retired

Tens of millions of dollars offered and the cheating pussy still said no and retired, while wasting Tom and everyone else's time, just as many of us predicted.

Jones marks like the king of them himself markg in shambles.

A bad day for daily Jonny Jones hater Boys.

Sherdog died today

Fuck no, we finally have an actual Heavyweight champion. Jones nuthuggers now have no one to swing from, since any talk about "retired GOAT" will be immediately met, rightfully so, with "Eye poking, roiding, pussy DUCK."

"There is not a chance he will ever face me in the octagon. I will retire Jon Jones without even fighting him."

- Tom Aspinall in 2024
I can already envision a series of amazing TikTok and IG Aspinall edits with this quote. Gonna be absolute heat.

That sucks. Jones vs. Aspinall would've been a great fight, but if Jones doesn't have the motivation to take that challenge, no sense in wasting any more time in the division.

Alex and Jon are week apart, lol, and Alex wouldn't make it past the second round. Tom's a big guy and he moves well, Alex would be in deep fast.
I mean, I agree with you 100%. I'm just not really interested in the Gane fight just yet given that horrific "win" over Volkov, and I'd like to see Tom get in there asap.

Today marks the end of the Jon Jones business as far as the UFC is concerned.

By losing the title (Jon's leverage), Jon will not entertain a comeback as that same money he was offered will not be on the table again. The UFC has washed their hands off him the same way they have with Ngannau and Conor.

I hope the UFC have learnt a lesson to not wait this long for a fight ever again. They have robbed over a year off Aspinall's prime when he did absolutely nothing wrong. I hope he gets some sort of compensation money from the UFC.

Tom didn't have to wait, he could have told the UFC he would fight someone else. He chose to wait and see if the fight would pan out. If he was confident in his skills he would have fought others. While the new guys should be respected for stepping in the case, they are. It true fighters like the old school guys.
I get what you're saying. It's kind of harsh but true. Hindsight of course is 2020 so it's easy to say this now but perhaps Tom should have looked at Mcgregor Chandler and notice that those who wait aren't necessarily rewarded. Tom easily could have made a bit more money in the meantime. The thing is, Tom probably didn't want to risk losing his belt so that's why he didn't defend. It's a risky move. No risk no reward, though. Poor Tom. He lost a lot of time, and time is the one thing you can't get back. Jon really screwed mma with this one.

He’s retired, but will return from retirement to fight ngannou when he’s back in the ufc. Or Pereira.

If the ufc wants him to fight again, they’ll make it happen, if they don’t then it won’t.

I have a hard time believing they’ll just allow jones to walk away without pushing for him to do another big fight.

It just won’t be Aspinall

Disagree totally....I think the UFC are well and truly done with the Jones and Ngannou business.
