Dana being real GSP vs Hendricks

Haha, Dana still mad GSP walked away from the MW belt.

GSP won fair and square. I was rooting for Hendricks in that fight

And he said he was going to move up and fight Anderson for years. He said he was going to comeback out of retirement for years. He said he was abducted by aliens and has missing time. He said he was going to defend his MW belt if he beat Bisping etc... GSP loved to talk, he likes fighting less. Am I dishonest here?

So because GSP believes in aliens, that means he was only pretending to want to retire and despite explicitly saying so he must've ducked a rematch? Maybe you're not dishonest. You sound like you might just be retarded.

You missed my point. So that means I sound retarded to you. Good argument man.

I agree that Hendricks won the fight but you guys are forgetting under the unified rules you can argue GSP won. As a fight yes I believe Hendricks won but if you go by points there is definitely a strong argument GSP one.

The only way you can give GSP that first round is if you think because of the weird tap that Hendriks did he was very close to being finished. It's actually not a bad argument.

We saw what happened to Hendricks once USADA kicked in. F that guy. Lawler's the man.

Remember that boxing judge that score Mayweather 10-0 over Conor?
Because that how it should have been scored.

Conor is not a boxer and only lasted 10rds because floyd knew he needed to put on a show and an illusion for the people pay $$$$ but from your comment you're one of the morons who though conor actually had a chance and will gladly shell out more $$$ if a rematch ever happens (under floyd's terms of course because he is the real $$$ man.)

It's common sense that Hendricks won that fight

He beat the dog shit out of GSP and only stupid fanboys disagree

Why else did GSP go into exile?

Hendricks should have won 48-47. But Penn did worse damage to him (GSP had to go straight to the hospital after the first Penn fight, he didn't after Hendricks). And Hughes and Serra completely, 100% finished GSP, which was way worse than what Hendricks was able to do. For that matter, GSP won the 5th round against Hendricks -- he must have magical recovery powers if he can have the shit beat out of him and still win the last round.

Hendricks should have won on points, but he didn't do enough damage to GSP to win the last round (GSP should have been barely hanging on for the bell if he was damaged), or to send GSP straight to the hospital. Lots of cuts and bruises are not serious damage, Serra and Penn did way worse to him.

If a hard fight was enough to make GSP retire, he'd have retired after the Penn fight (again, straight to the hospital after the fight), and then definitely after the Hughes fight, and then the Serra fight. Hendricks was only GSP's fourth toughest fight.

Basically, GSP should have lost the decision to both Hendricks and the first Penn fight, but for some reason Hendricks gets way more credit than Penn did for bad judge calls. And thinking that GSP retired because of his fourth hardest fight is just odd - think about it. He got hospitalized but didn't quit. He got finished twice and didn't quit. But he gets a gift judges decision and you think he quits because of that? He'd been talking about retiring for years, Hendricks was just the his last fight. Unless you also think that Bisping retired GSP (ie that whoever you fight last retired you).

Serra and Hughes did way more to GSP than Hendricks did, and Penn did a bit more to GSP than Hendricks did. I think people just forget (or don't know) that he was finished twice, and hospitalized once.

People are clueless.. everybody agreed Hendricks won.. but besides the point dana did not like gsp because he was the most boring fighter on the roster and had the most fans that disliked watching him fight because he turned into a points lay and pray fighter he would get on top and do nothing and it was killing the ufc.

You can see interviews of alota celebs and fans complaining.

If you think gsp won then go watch the fight again and the conference before gsp had to go to the hospital.

The fight damaged gsp mentally and he chose to retire before he loses the belt. Period that's what happened.

It's not, no.

It’s not about Silva, it’s about Hendricks winning that fight and GSP’s inflated reputation from that split decision.
The only things that were massively inflated in that whole entire story were:

-Hendrick's usual tendency to whine;
-Hendicks himself, to a point where he never made weight at WW and was forced to go up to MW to fight guys of his own fucking size;
-The downhill slope of Hendrick's own fighting career.

GSP's reputation never got inflated from that fight, I don't know on what planet you're living, but the guy took tremendous amounts of flack for it...and he still does, as evidenced by comments like yours, right there.

GSP's reputation was built on dominating what was, at the time, the most competitive division in the UFC for almost a decade, showing incredible fight IQ, consistency and drawing huge PPV numbers while, amazingly enough, never coming even close to talking trash or yapping childish insults to his opponents in order to sell his fights.

Oh yeah, and he made a comeback after a four year layoff, winning a belt in a second weight class.

Fucking inflation, right?

Conclusion:
-Dana bitter about GSP retiring with belts 2 different times
-most of sherdog doesn’t know how to score the very sport they enjoy bitching about. But he had bruises. But if in Pride. What’s a 10 point scoring system? Round by round, what?
- GSP lives in a lot of heads

The only way you can give GSP that first round is if you think because of the weird tap that Hendriks did he was very close to being finished. It's actually not a bad argument.

The fight really comes down to how you score the first round, the other rounds were decisive. I agree that the argument is that GSP had the sub attempt in the first round which gave him the edge.

Dana White hates GSP and wants do destroy him? Or Dana wants to get rid of his biggest PPV star just because. Can’t have it both ways.
Maybe Dana knew GSP was set on retirement so he had no problems destroying his biggest PPV star if it could get Hendricks to become a new one.
