So fighters are slaves to the promotion? I see them more as independent contractors both parties need to agree on the contract first. Its been three months Dana and the UFC are out of line.

Anyone that doesn’t side with Francis are clueless. The guy just won the belt in late March, and wanted a fight in September?
That’s not even 6 months, cmon. He had some stuff to handle and was fully intent on fighting in a 5-6 month time frame, absolutely zero excuse to shit on Francis with an interim belt. Took him years to get the belt and they create an interim 3 months after he wins it, GTFO there’s no way to spin this.

Agree with you sherbro, but most fighters wouldn't have the means to mount any challange against 200 Million Dollar Man Dana. They'd need to do a class action like CB Dalloway is at the moment.
At the very least, Dana could have made the other fight, but not called it an interim title fight. That really shows he is operating in bad faith. It's not like the title has lingered without being defended. That is the clear scumbag move.

I mostly agree but the only source we have for Francis accepting a September date is his manager. Derrick Lewis's manager said Ngannou's team turned down the September date. So at this point it comes down to which manager you believe. I'm not sure why Lewis's manager would lie, they would much rather fight Francis for the real belt. They were already promised the title shot and now have had it taken away. Honestly, Lewis is the one getting screwed here.
But regardless of whether or not Ngannou agreed to the September date, we are in agreement with fuck Dana.

Is CAA tops over WME?Dana is calling out Francis's management which is CAA. CAA has 1,000+ athletes with over 9 BILLION dollars in contracts. CAA is a bigger sports enterprise than the UFC is.
Ngannou's agent used to work for the UFC, but now has a bigger and more powerful employer behind him. I'm sure he knows all of the UFC's bullshit and isn't taking it.

I see a lot of you are shitting on Dana here. He runs the business and runs the business well. Hence UFCs longevity in the sport. Fans are blindly backing Francis and his management team like these scumbag managers words are as good as gold. They tried playing the game and ended up getting burned. The turnaround for Francis was very realistic giving the scheduling of PPVs and I think they were being flexible considering Ngannou fought once in 2020 and took relative no damage, and fought once in 2021 and took basically no damage. If you cant see the picture clearly which easily shows Ngannous team overplayed their hand and starpower that isnt all there yet then thats on you. Its clear he didnt want the BB rematch. A months time is not going to make or break any heavyweight camp and Dana knows this. This is the fight game, u fight fire with fire with Dana expect to get burned. For everyone saying Ngannou deserves a minimum of X amount of million of dollars for his first title defense. Wheres the numbers that show he is a draw? You cant act like you deserve McGregor numbers when you dont sell 15% of what McGregor does.

Why would I back a multi billion dollar corporation over a guy who used to be broke in a 3rd world country? They pay these guys pennies on their dollar they bring in. Hopefully the winner of the scam HW title fight joins him and refuses to defend the belt. Let Dana keep putting together sham fights and see how long the UFC can survive on 200-300K PPV buys.

Lol, so all of a sudden independent fighters who fight for their livelihood are going to band together no matter the financial ramifications and take a stand because Ngannou is leading the charge? Just like in any sport, the sport will survive and next man up. Ngannou is not a global superstar yet alone even a superstar in his own country.
