Media Dan Hooker says the UFC and USADA are punishing him for IV allegations

And why was Hooker rank so high in the first place? I never understood it, as a fighter he isn't that good. He's just a brawler the first time he actually tried to fight technical like his brother Israel he got put out by Chandler, I thought he loss against Felder. He only has name value because he's associated with that group from of fighters from Oz/Nz. Anybody who watches MMA especially the Lightweight Division knew Islam was going to run through him, same reason why Khabib ran through Gaethje. Their ground games are inadequate. So again, Hooker never deserved his ranking & is only popular or well known because if his association.
He had a great run against middle level fighters and rolled into the top 5 in a time it was losing a heap of top competition. Khabib was suspended, Conor was gone, Cerrone retired, Fighter Kevin Lee was trading wins and losses,no RDA etc. These guys all kinda left as he was on the rise. He is also consistent with 2-3 fight a year unlike many were at that time and was winning by finish.

Wins against Felder, Iaquinta (post title fight with Khabib) Burns and Vick who were all top 20 at the time. He has more ranked losses than Islam and Khabib have ranked wins in their entire careers and most were close until Chandler and Allen. He doesn't lose to scrubs just the top 5 guys really.

I don't think he is top 10, he lacks the ability to fight inside and gasses in 5 rounders, but to say he didn't deserve his ranking in a striking heavy division at the time is a bit unfair.

I like Hooker, but complaining and not offering anything substantiate it,is not gonna go over well.

I still dont hate him though.

Remember when khabibs scale was all wonky in Abu Dhabi and ufc had no qualms about it?? I do. So clearly they are protecting fighters from that region to try and retain a market there.
Yeah, it was bullshit, just like they've done at a lot of events for other fighters. The UFC is self-serving, and commissions are also ignorant. So there's nothing "clear" about "the region"

Yea, no shit there might be some blow back when you accuse one of the companies top guys of doing something against the rules.

Hooker hasn’t even been tested once since the beginning of the year. Islam has been tested 8 times. What punishment is he talking about ?

They are 100% told not to ask this stuff. That's how they get those gigs.
Same thing with Bo Nickal getting a bonus for an illegal nutshot to takedown victory. That should be all over the media.

Or probably because it has already been addressed and there is no case at all

It took so long for anyone to just come out and deny it. We had everything but a straight denial for nearly a week. Then we get an interview in Russian only as the first real response from Islam or someone speaking for him directly.

If it was anywhere but WA Australia it clearly would have been a non issue as we all now know. Why is it such a big deal to speculate that Islam used an IV and ask him the question, when it's clearly allowed unless you are fighting in one random state here in Aus?

IF UFC could do that, Conor would never lose, Ronda would still be champion, and Lesnar would never have left.
The ufc may not be able to influence the outcome of the fight but all off those fighters have been given preferential treatment in one way or another.

conor was allowed to box whilst under ufc contract. Ronda didn’t have to do media shit because she didn’t want to in the lead up to Amanda fight. Brock was allowed to fight hunt on peds.

ufc does what they want.

With they’re preferred fighters, it seems not quite so.
Uh yeah there are. They cannot go in there and win their fights for them.

that is what i said. and in the lead up to the fights the ufc can do what they want. did you misunderstand my previous post where i prefaced it with 'The ufc may not be able to influence the outcome of the fight' ??

He was asked as soon as he got back by Russian journalists at the airport. UFC, USADA were making statements within hours.

When was that? We had multiple people linked to him say everything except he didn't use an IV until he was back in Russia.

I personally think he used it within the rules.
