100% support the guilty verdict.. if you think someone in that situation should go to jail for life you havent been paying attention to other verdicts.

Life is for people that plan and then successfully murder someone. Premeditation is one of the biggest factors in a murder case.

and at it's conclusion the mom of the accused hugged Denny, apologizing for her son's actions.

Exactly. Most definitely a bigger loss than I realized having not followed very closely. To be honest, I suspected as much, though. Early on when I heard he was from offshore and heard his family speak a bit. I work for a Fortune 500 company and see highly-educated (mathematics, etc.---HIGHLY educated) people coming in the door from the Caribbean over the last 5 to 10 years or so. Bahamas, etc. I forgot where he was from off the top of my head.

I think the sentence is fair. That's a reasonable price to pay for absentmindedness culminating in tragic calamity.
