The real reason is that she ridiculously refuses to fight a fellow Brazilian for some reason. The 'rightful contender' stuff is probably just an excuse. Practically all of her opponents will be 135 pounders moving up, yet she doesn't want to fight the best of the bunch (i.e. the champion)?

I'm sure there are women who want it. And I think the TUF idea is a great one. The ones that show up know what they're signing up for. And no matter who the winner of the show is, you have 12 - 16 other women from the show to make a division with. Just like they did with the Flyweights. Look at the rankings. It's all of the women from the show.

I do think tuf makes sense, it is just I think most 135ers don't want to move up to 145 because Cyborg is a big person for 145 so they rather stay at 135.
I do think it is great that she wants to do hard thing and build a division but it is also in her interest too because she can make money consistently for next few years.

I respect what she saying and it is legit except....FOR the FACT there's is NOBODY else to fight at FW.
The way it is set up is for anyone to step up and get a TS, there's no ranking Cyborg because it is just you.
Even if you set up a TUF the winner will be rewarded a fight against Cyborg which is

Talent in WMMA is very limited and the reason why 135 is what it is today is because of Ronda Rousey's ability to sell fights. As much as I like Cyborg I know she will never be as big as Ronda thus 145 won't ever be popular at the hands of her.

Cyborg fighting Nunes is the best thing she could do for the division.

The only thing I am curious about is why is WMEIng/Dana pushing for a fight with Nunes so fast. Are they testing the grounds to get more people at 145 or are they trying to get rid of Nunes. Maybe I am thinking too much into it and they just want to make a quick buck and they don't really care who wins since both aren't a big draw.

Cyroid has lost the plot. Again. There is no division. There ain’t gonna be one either. Seven of the current top ten are in Bellator. For UFC to build a proper division (with a dozen or so decent fighters) will take five years.
