It was a great game. The only thing I hate that they did is put all those cops there when you had to go back and forth to your apartment. It was annoying as hell having to sneak through the same place so often. It happens like midway through the game.

Yes. The lock down section of the game was as irritating as can be. Wasn't a big fan of the game in general, but that part in particular really tried my patience. Just hiding behind cars waiting for the AI patrol patterns to give you an opening was so goddamn tedious. There's not much else you can do either, since combat is not really an option and any little thing you do leaves you exposed and once they see you, it's pretty much game over unless you fluke your way out of the onslaught.

I had the invisible stealth option to the max at that point and I would use it to cheese most of that section.

Yeah, I think I did that too, come to think of it. Didn't it have a pretty short timer though? Like you had to turn it on, run to a safe spot, wait for the cool down, turn it on again and repeat. It's been a while since I played it, but all remember in that section was just running and waiting, running and waiting...

Mankind divided is so bloody good, but the abrupt ending and the cancellation of the sequel pissed me off. You could play that game without any waypoints etc, its so well constructed. Its easily one of the best games of the last gen. I really hoped we got a similar colour palette to Human Revolution tho.

Square Enix is so out of wack. I wish Eidos actually makes the sequel after that horrendous Avengers game.
I've been replaying Prey (2017) and it's another great first person RPG. Reminds me a lot of Deus Ex.

Yep. It depends on the amount of energy you had. I would save my recharges for just that section. I would fill up my energy and just quickly get through it. I only used the stealth for quick movements on the normal missions so I never needed full energy.

I just ordered my new computer yesterday. RT Ultra on a 34 inch curved monitor here I come!

I actually have no idea what the RT stands for. But I don't care, I fucking want all of it.
Ray tracing.

Yup, a fantastic immersive sim. Loved the first half, but the enemy variety being lacklustre kind of let the whole thing down. Loved the game though, it was very good.

Im a sucker for an immersive sim rpg. Probably my favourite genre.

Just the gameplay videos a lone have shown me that. I loved GTA 4 but V was a plate of hot garbage. I tried 3 different times to get into that game and its just a shit game.

I bought it on the release date, played through it twice in a week and traded it in.

The missions were weak, very few assassination missions and races. I always thought I'd pick it up again once they'd release some DLC expansions like GTA4's, but that never happened because Rockstar was making so much money from the online multiplayer they didn't want to distract consumers from buying more microtransactions.

So, Rockstar gave their fans a half-assed single player experience to goat them into playing online to milk more money out of them.

Needless to say, that's not going to be happening to CP2077, thankfully.

That's silly. GTAV offers a very large and robust single player campaign, that did not at all drop standards from their previous entries. In fact, it corrected a lot of the complaints from GTAIV. The multiplayer portion of the game becoming immensely popular, does not negate the work they did in the single player campaign.

You're talking as if they gave you some forgettable 5 hour COD single player campaign. It was a meaty 30-40 hour single player campaign, that introduced new iconic characters, locations, mechanics, etc, etc. If it was just a single player game, it would still be regarded as one of the best games of the generation.

I think you missed that I mentioned I beat the game twice in a week, and I wasn't playing it constantly.

That means it doesn't qualify as 'very large and robust.'

The open world is huge, but aside from the missions (which aren't very good) there's very few things to do.

No, it does. Just because you can blast through it if you try(or have nothing better to do), does not negate how large of a campaign it is, or all the other aspects it offers within the campaign that people can choose to ignore. What were your campaign times? I highly doubt it was 5-10 hours, like you're implying. Even if all you did was go from mission to mission, and not do anything else, it would still be very large and time consuming.

It was a huge game. A complaint can be made that Rockstar needs to offer some more variety in their mission structure, but don't act like they don't give players a shit ton to do within the single player experience, with the mechanics they give you. No, it is not a 100 hour RPG, but you're arguing apples and oranges, if you're holding every game up to those requirements.

Agreed. I loved the gunplay and driving improvements over GTA4.

Oh yes it does.

Its very clear what they've focused on over the years is to make updates only to the multiplayer, which makes them alot of money, while leaving the single player untouched, because it makes them less money.

They proved they could make awesome expansions, like GTA4's, they just don't want to because microtransactions are dirt cheap to make and with a sky-high profit margin. While large single-player expansions are expensive and pull gamers away from playing online and buying microtransactions.

Before you tell me I'm wrong, please explain why Rockstar isn't anywhere close to releasing GTA6.

I wasn't speedrunning the game either time I played it. I did a mission, then another mission, and then another until there were no more missions.

Thankfully, I skipped the marathons you can run. Pressing X for an hour isn't appealing to me.

Around 15 hours each time.

I would have been very satisfied if they added more mission variety, like additional assassinations and racing into the mix, increasing the game length to around 30 hours.
