It's all about the movement. 30fps always comes off looking choppy especially after looking at 60fps which comes off much smoother.

Fk I must have hi tech auto upscaling eyes. I can’t tell the difference in frame rate.

Y’all need to upgrade your peepers.

Ah yes, these deadlines that get pushed back and back and back. It couldn’t be mismanagement or trying to get a profit out of as small a staff as possible. It’s these damn slackers who can’t hack it in the real world.

Is there a stance you take where you’re not a complete scumbag? Jesus lol.

Once you get spoiled from 60+fps, 30fps seems like it's in slow motion.

Just watched, and blatantly obvious to my eyes. Especially how the background changes when you pan the camera. Maybe people are watching on their phones???? I just dont know how you cannot see it.

It's a little faster. The issue is if it is great enough to truly care. Panning backgrounds? Not a big deal. This reminds me of things like "draw distance", and the like. There is a difference. Obviously. However, it's simply not a deal breaker for most. 60FPS is faster and tighter...but not so much that anyone is gonna go out of their way to experience it, over the status quo. It's a luxury if you want it. It's not anything that will make people think they're getting a VASTLY inferior experience if they don't have it. It's nickle and dime shit.

Not to me, though I suppose if you cannot really tell anyway, why would you give a crap?

There is major differences in how the game controls too. Everything ends up being smoother and easier on your eyes. Light sources look better. The list goes on. Now those with ultra 240hz monitors are blowing it out of proportions. I can see a major difference up until around 100 to 144hz. Never really play on the 165 setting since I cannot tell the difference, and it uses resources for nothing. Seems it is just something that you get use to, and hard going back once you get accustomed to it. Honestly wish I couldnt tell the difference. Save money on some parts/

But I'm telling you that I can, and I still don't care. To me, it's negligible. Nothing I'm going to rush out for and make sure I have. This is a consistent disconnect I have with PC gamers. They just can't accept that most people simply don't give a shit, even if they know and acknowledge the difference. It's simply not as big of a deal as some think it is. If it's a big deal to you, that fine. If it's not to others, just accept it. It is what it is.

Point to where I said anyone should care??? Only that they should see a difference. Frankly, I don't care what you play, what you play it on, and how you like to play. Play an FPS with a flight stick. All the same to me.

Jesus. You all love to argue non-existent points.

The point I was arguing, was you saying "If people can't tell the difference, then I can understand."

I'm telling you that I can, and still don't care, and now you're getting all pissy about it. Typical.

No, you make up arguments on your own. Never said they should care either way. The whole initial post was about the ability to actually see it, not to ultimately care if you want to play a certain way. I don’t try to be the arbiter of all gamingdom.

Listen. You all love to just be pissy with each other on here it seems. You all have fun. Play whatever games on whatever systems you like. It has zero effect on what I play. Just gave an opinion.

You know how you get Rockstar level attention to detail and polish? Slaves.
You could get the same level of polish by hiring more, and setting goals that are feasible in a certain amount of time. Feature creep is something thats gotten ridiculous in games recently, inane mechanics to bloat games out to seem high quality instead of refining their core gameplay loop.

Project managers, and upper level management who want to ship products out by overworking their talent to save a few bucks is whats happening. The workers arent in unions and are prone to exploitation, and thats exactly how the cunts want it. The turnover in the gaming industry is insane.

@Dizzy wrote something like this as I read some more of the comments but I wont delete it, since I just finished writing it.

Erm...yeah?

Thats why deadlines are a thing. If there is crunch and delays, its entirely on the planning by the project managers and how theyve decided to use resources. Due to their incompetence, people get overworked and miss time with their families, hobbies, etc.

And if they had unions that caused strikes and delays, gamers would bitch all the same. Look, it's not unique to the gaming industry. Publishers want to get the best bang for the buck. That's just business, and nobody is holding a gun to anyone's head to remain an employee, if they don't like the working conditions. My brother in law went through this. He's a highly skilled programmer, and spent all of 3 months in the video game industry, before he quit over being burned out and went and found something a little less demanding. It is what it is. People have choices, and they aren't entitled to shit. If they don't like it, they can quit. They aren't some sweat shop workers with no skills and no options.

If anything illegal is going on, like not paying your employees what they are owed, or whatnot, okay fine. That's something. Simply having to work hard to meet deadlines though? Boo hoo. Welcome to the business world.

And there should be, so conditions could improve. Gamers have always bitched regardless. They always find the next thing to bitch about.

This is naive. Especially in this time and age where finding work will definitely be much more difficult to ascertain. Hell this topic is far to complex to reduce to 'Dont like it? Then leave'.

For example, some kids spend 4 years in school, to join their dream industry, to find it riddled with crunch, low pay and bad managers, whilst neck deep in debt to get their 'dream job'. They deal with it because they tell themselves they wanted this, and because of the eagerness and naivety, they get exploited with shit pay and extreme workloads and hours. How difficult must it be for these guys to up and leave? Hell there are more instances you can think off that apply to the real world.

Im glad your BIL could just leave and start anew, but this isnt the case for some in the industry. That doesnt mean they should get exploited because of poor management.

Throughout history, unions and striking has ensured that we get better pay, better working conditions and not be overworked to fill the bosses pockets. I hope they can unionize and make changes.

Simply having to work hard to meet deadlines though? Boo hoo. Welcome to the business world.
So working longer hours and more days = working hard?

Thats asinine. Im sure the team at CDPR were working hard for years on this title, pouring their all into making the best game they can. Poor planning and management by the PMs is what caused this.

You may be fine with exploiting people for profit and thats okay -- thats capitalism.

But to me its not okay.

And there it is. Facts disagree with your assertions, so..."you sound poor".

It's simply not a big deal to most. I don't know what other proof you're looking for. The Nintendo Switch wouldn't be shit, if the masses cared about that stuff. All that matters to people is if they are enjoying the games they're playing. Further improving that experience by tightening up some technical presentation details, is for hardcore nerds and pro gamers. The rest couldn't care less. That's all there is to it.
I have a switch, PS4 , Xbox one s and a PC... I play the PS4 and switch the most . Switch has fun games and most of my friends have PS4 . I could honestly give a fuck if the pc looks a little better, I just like to have fun with my friends and play fun games .. I hardly ever play games on pc , I got it for PUBG ( before it was on everything and people still played it) and to play games like civilization. PC does have better strategy games ... but long story short, yeah most people I know don’t really give a shit about specs and just wanna have fun

are people honestly getting upset about people working overtime to meet a deadline?

Have you people ever worked in a industry that wasnt fast food?

This shit is normal.

You haven’t a clue what you’re talking about.

They aren’t working extra here and there to meet a deadline. These are standard hours that last for months on end, sometimes over a year.

I can guarantee you that no one defending this shit has ever worked those kinds of hours for that long a period.
