Seems like people are turning a lot of blind eyes to like this game. Taking a long wait and see approach.

Hope it’s great.

If it's mediocre I will call it out as such. But I will judge it in comparison to it's peers, not based on some lofty expectation of the greatest game I've ever played.

Where's the proof to back up that 4chan post? It just says a bunch of random stuff that I've never seen confirmed by anyone. For example, I've never even heard of this game having classes to begin with, or journalists calling it a shooter with barely any RPG elements. Unless it's supposed to be a leak?

It just might be 4chan trolling

But might be true as well because 4chan is obsessed about this kind of stuff

I stubled on street slang in cyberpunk wiki

Found this hilarious

2020 Hindsight: The wise act of watching your back.

Seems fitting for this year lol

I'm looking forward to this.

I'm hoping I can get decent (stable fps 30+) with my 1070 at 3440 x 1440 on medium to high settings. Probably won't be a day 1 buy for me though.

Edit: My biggest fear though is bullet sponge enemies. I really dislike FPS where you gotta pump all sorts of lead into enemies. I alike more towards Counter strike levels of damage where just a few shots kill.

Probably arsonist-with-a-matchstick milling or gloomier yet, dated and in decontextualisation looking skyfall for a studio taxing themselves to be the developers gamers don't deserve. Wall-running being binned is real though; I was really disappointed and read about it months ago in a statement from in-house level design. FU gravity.

Its going to be a mixture of both.

Shots to the head and chest will obviously do more damage to enemies HP, but depending on how high level they are, and how low level you are, some enemies won't be taken down with ten headshots.

So, play the game, level up, take missions close to your level, and later on you'll be able to take those high level enemies down with a headshot or two.

One last thing, if you've played Witcher 3 you'd know this.

In that game you have the option to do missions that are recommended for higher levels than you currently are. I did it once, the 'Master Swordsmith' quest in which at one point I'm fighting five dwarves within a very small area.

I was level 9, and the quest was recommended for level 18. Those damn dwarves could kill me in two hits, and when I was able to hit one it probably did 1% damage on one of the five.

So, I learned their attack patterns, rolled around, made sure they could never corner me (or I'd be fucked), kept using Qwen sign (which gives me a forcefield shield) and Igni (flame attack that could hit one of them) and attacked them with a sword strike when I saw an opening.... and I still died several times.

It was like what I imagined playing a damned Dark Soul game is like, which I've never played.

Finallly... I killed them and completed the damn quest, got a HUGE amount of satisfaction from my accomplishment, and learned to NEVER take a quest that is double your fucking level recommendation.

Fuck that. Never again.

So I guess CP2077 will have that amount of freedom in what missions you take, regardless of your level.

Yeah, I played Witcher 3 a ton and have had a few of those experiences. Same with AC Odyssey.

I don't know why, but I find it a bit cheesy. My preference would be to have some main quests that can't be completed without doing some side quests that indirectly cease you to level up. For instance, it could be in Cyberpunk an armored vehicle boss where you need some sort of special rocket launcher type weapon that can only be obtained from doing a series of side quests. granted, that kind of turns those side quests into main quests, but i still kind of like that concept more.

And yeah, it's a good feeling winning a good tough battle though kind of stupid if it's that putting bullets in someone's head does 1% damage and you need to shoot them 100 times in the head to beat them.

According to everyone the multiple ways to complete quests thing work well.

Also it appears that failing quests might influence storyline (like the story goes forward even if you fail)

Dark Souls isn't like that at all. There are tougher enemies that you should avoid early on, especially if you're a newbie, but if you have the skill, you can take them on. Even after you level your skills/defenses/equipment, every enemy remains a threat if you get sloppy.

That satisfaction you got the Witcher 3 is replicated repeatedly in Souls games, just minus the cumbersome 1 point of damage output in your example (easier)

Anyway, don't let it scare you away. Witcher 3 is the best story/quest-driven game I've played, while the Soulsborne titles (minus Sekiro) are the best atmospheric storytelling and gameplay-driven games I've played. The lore is super rich too.

I remember the wall running thing, but CDPR was very public about that. A lot of the other things make no sense. I never heard anyone mention classes even once, never heard a journalist say that its FPS first with light RPG elements, etc. Every journalist who's played it seems blown away by it. Also, I just looked up how long it takes to drive across the GTA:V map, and it takes about 5.5 minutes, so that's not a big deal. The whole post seems dubious.

Question is should I get this on my one or ps4. I'm assuming ps4. I do like the ones controller more
