Even as a PC gamer, I don't notice it. I would rather have 60 than 30 but not because it looks any different, its just better if you drop some frames at 60 rather than 30. As far as the difference though, its very slight and most of the time I can't even notice a difference even when watching them side by side.

I notice it. It's clearly more responsive and generally just faster and more naturally fluid. However, the difference is not so huge, that it makes me care. The only time I think it could be vital to the experience, is if you were a hardcore/pro gamer. You'll definitely want that shit tightened up if you plan on taking a game very seriously. Casual gaming though, where you're just playing in chunks and not fretting over your K/D ratio, or a speed run, etc, etc? Nobody cares. 30 FPS is perfectly fine. The only time FR's really matter, is if the game stutters at times due to the FR going down to single digits and actually affects the experience, where the game almost feels broken. Even then though, most will just power through it if it's not too intrusive. Even PC gamers. You know how many PC gamers are running their shit at the lowest possible setting, just so the game merely functions? SCORES. They all talk like they've got the best of the best, but the truth is, a lot of them don't and are playing on rigs less powerful than the consoles.

And the ones that do have powerful computers like myself then go and start playing League of Legends 10 years after it releases. I know people who would love to play PC games but simply have a shit pc and can't. Consoles are great for the ease. PC's are spending a lot of money to keep it top level even if you don't need to.

Yep, I agree pretty much on all counts. I prefer to be at least 60 to solve those frame rate drop issues that might occur but visually, 30-40ish doesn't bug me. I don't play the big PVP games like CS:GO or League of Legends so its not the important to me but I do maintain a rig that can run games or med. to high settings without problems. I'm using an RTX 2070 right now and I thought I fucked up by not waiting for the Super versions to come out but now seeing the 3080 shit I realize missing the RTX Super cards wasn't a big deal, especially considering my regular 2070 runs everything I do quite well.

Agreed. I finished Kingdom Come Deliverance twice. The Witcher 3 I fucked a chick on a unicorn and it felt like the game hit its peak and I had nothing more to see.

There was a lot to see after that, and a lot of it great. Just sucks that I had to go through sooooooo many of the same lame ass missions and subpar gameplay in order to see the characters I love.

You haven’t a clue what you’re talking about.

They aren’t working extra here and there to meet a deadline. These are standard hours that last for months on end, sometimes over a year.

I can guarantee you that no one defending this shit has ever worked those kinds of hours for that long a period.
I have, and it wasn’t in a gaming chair in an air conditioned office either.

Yea, you’re probably right.

So, any actual new game news or just more pages of FPS/OT bickering?

Lol. Ive worked 70+ hours overtime in a 2 week period. Dizzy the can confirmed

Man they really have some of yall fooled. 'Work Hard and you'll be successful' -> how many of you are busting your ass in a shitty office job while your CEO is raking in the cash off of your hard work....

Cool, maybe one day you'll make it into the 1%, lol.

I don't really care if people are working OT that's life. Start looking for a new job and get out of that industry if it bothers you so much. Every single time I've had an issue with my company I don't even talk to them about it I just leave.

One company promised everyone raises if they got an approved certification. I didn't get one once I got my certification and everyone knew I got the cert. I left for another company paying almost double what I was currently making. During the exit interview I made it clear why I left and it was mistake on their end apparently. I didn't care cause the raise wouldn't have even been close to double my pay. In fact my wife just had a similar issue. I told her the exact same thing. Now she's getting slightly more pay, quarterly bonuses, and holiday pay for days that her other company didn't consider holidays.

I hate working OT. I've done it and I hate it. I've outright told my current company that I will not participate in anymore projects. I don't care about the bonus money I'm done with it. Every single time I take a project I don't give a shit about the money. I'm always pissed that more of my time is being wasted working. Not to mention the stress involved in some of these projects. I tried updating our exchange server the fucking thing crashed and I was up all night trying to fix it. Didn't get it fixed until 8am after getting 3 hours of sleep that night just to get some sort of sleep. Moving some Databases earlier this year my god the headache from that shit.

In what company does the CEO not make more than the workers?

Lol. I know, that still doesnt mean that they need to be xx% more than their employees.

CEOs literally get paid huge bonuses by overworking their workforce and underpaying them to nudge profits and revenues small percentages above the previous year. Working in shitty conditions on top of that just sucks. Many people dont have the option to just leave a job because they have families etc that depend on them. Being out of work for a small amount of time is disastrous to a majority of the population. Hell we live in a time where 1 emergency can put families in piles of debt, whilst having CEOs make more money than they can spend in a life time.....

Im tired of talking about this, I just dont care. Good for you if you think shit like that is fine.

I haven't paid much attention to CP2077 news, but was impossible to miss the dozens and dozens of tweets saying "CDPR is FORCING its development team to CRUNCH to make its CP2077 release date!!!"

*sigh*

I've never seen so many 'gaming journalism outlets' so outraged over a development team working overtime for what damn near every development team in the entire industry does prior to a major release.

Does it make it right? Absolutely not.

However there's so many details being left out that are very relevant but makes the story less sensational.

Upper Echelon Gaming just made a video giving these details, for those who care.

By the way, hopefully CDPR will finally learn to not bother with release dates. 'It will be released when its done' should be an industry standard.

As to why the entire gaming journalism industry has it out for CDPR, I bet most of us could come up with some interesting theories.

They brought it upon themselves by trying to get good PR by saying they would stop this only to find out it never stopped. Fuck them.

At the same time, most overtime in the gaming world is barely paid, while they are forced by Polish law to pay everyone extra for their time. AFAIK, the crunch time is from the email until release (Nov 19), so alittle over a month and a half of crunch. Not ideal, but hopefully they can all get that deal where they can get a percentage of sales from the product. They said the game is finished, now they need to fix all of the bugs. It was either this, or push the release date back *again*. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision.
