Here's a few pics of Marvin Somodio and Abel Sanchez with their custom winning mitts. Funny thing is I asked Kazumichi about them awhile back and he said he only made them for Freddie Roach. Looks like he's lying! I wish I could get a pair!!!

You should email kazumichi with these pictures asking him why they have those mitts when he stated only Freddie had them. Who knows, maybe you can talk yourself into a pair of these mitts
 
How about you pretend to be a trainer to the champions like they are (throw around some big names) and get him to custom make them for you?

Or talk to Steve Mitani.

lol, if you catch Kaz on a night when he's had too many whiskeys (which is most nights) I think this just might work.

I think they are about that much now. I got my mitts a while ago and the price was a bit lower. Even though they were expensive they are the best mitts I've ever used.

They have been wonderful. They are nicely broken in and I haven't noticed any change in them since. My pair of "combination" mitts are brown and those are getting a nice patina to them. My other mitts are black and they are still in fine shape. The color has not changed one bit.
 
So I emailed Kazumichi and asked him about Abel and Marvin both having the same style mitts and he pretty much blew me off and said to stop asking about the mitts as they are not for sale!! Also, Steve Mitani said that the style of mitts are made for very special customers (whatever that means). So it looks like I's going to have to figure out another way to get my hands on a pair!

HAHA!! Even if he were to agree (which he prob would) I can't see myself paying that kind of money for a pair of mitts....even if they are WINNING! :rolleyes:

Maybe find someone famous and ask them to help you out?

I finally bit the bullet and bought the fg2900, now I can stop looking at the rakuten website every day, for now.
