Rakuten gets their Winning merchandise straight from Winning Japan so it's the new ones.

I would still advise on going in the store and trying out all the sizes, so you get the right size.

You are going to have to pay $30 for shipping and if you have a big head (anything over Large) you are best off buying from the shop if you like the stock colors.

and i will probably get the fg-2900 since i do muay thai. the fg-5000 may be too big and bulky for sparring

I do MT too and when my FG-2900 comes in the mail, I'll see how good it compares to the other open face headgear. You don't need a FG5000 unless you spar REALLY hard or have nose problems where you can't take too many nose shots.

You just gotta worry about front kicks, but if your chin is tucked enough, you will be able to see them.

I was thinking of making a rainbow colored Winnings glove, but it just didn't feel right. Used paint shop and everything.
